It doesn't seem like a $130 figure bro. A lot of people saying these figures are good are just eating it up because they're Berserk fans.
I seen a lot of reviews saying how good this figure is and showing a bunch of crazy poses with it. The I watch this review and see that it can barely do any of that. Some people are just blinded by it being their favorite character instead of looking at the figure itself.
Fr. Tho I don’t think this review should discourage you from buying it if you really want it, nor those that have it from enjoying it.

Nah its really can do those crazy poses. He poses well but quality wise its not as good as it should be
I mean, DAmazing showed pretty clearly that the figure IS very posable, he's just also a lot more forgiving than Anthony when it comes to tolerances. I think D is also an actual reader of the manga, so he's not as weirded out by the proportions, and he also shows it with the cape on, and the neck is clearly not designed to look right without it (kind of makes sense, I'm pretty sure the cape can't come off in the manga).
That said, that doesn't mean the figure is perfect. Complaints about the paint wash and tolerances are still valid, and while the design of the Berserker is supposed to be unnatural, the way the joints are designed on this still doesn't look great.

The foot peg broke on mine while trying to switch the leg pieces, supposed to get my replacement in a few days but it really sucked cause the figure was amazing for the 20 min that I had to mess with it. Personally I believe they made vast improvements with this guy
I have a question, I just bought mine off Amazon, and it’s comes in Wednesday. It is my first action figure and I don’t know how fragile these are so I wanted to know who you contacted to buy a replacement or if something breaks.
@@jorgeespinal5591 I got mine from bigbadtoystore, they were able to make an exchange pretty easily. It seems like the foot pegs are the only ones that are pretty fragile so I haven’t bothered trying to switch the legs at all with the new one. I’m not sure how or if Amazon offers exchanges

What a hunk of crap... What little art I've seen of Bezerk, the dude isn't that lanky and weird looking. The plastic looks really bad, the sculpt is bad, the wash is laughable... those elbow joints make McFarlane's look like a work of engineering brilliance. This is Figuarts... they had this technology figured out years ago. I have Street Fighter and Kinnikuman figures that don't look this bad. Why are people defending this???

How did we go from collecting pretty cool, $15 figures, to paying $130 for crappy looking, sub par imports? Very few 1/12 scale figures warrant a $130 price tag and this one definitely doesn't. I don't know the IP, but that's neither here, nor there. There are plenty of IPs that I don't know, but still have good action figures. Sik

Man sad to see you didn’t like this figure. Seems you had a lot more qc issues compared to mine. The only thing I disagree with is that you say it can’t pose. I’m having a lot of fun posing him around.

It's amazing how bad figuarts dropped the ball with the Berserk license, they basically went berserk 2016 on it.
I’m definitely gonna have to disagree on this one. Passed on the first figures but bought this one and the range of motion, for me, is wonderful, I can absolutely make him do the poses on the front of the box. The only major complaint I have is that he can’t really hold the sword one handed unless it’s balancing on his shoulder, but two handed poses look wonderful. Might be a little too skinny but it certainly looks much truer to the manga than the first one. Worth $130? No, but I bought mine on eBay for less and I don’t regret it at all
How can you justify a guts figure that can't hold his sword?

Your wash looks like a KO. I had to look for mine just to be sure. This has got to be the most inconsistent figure sh figuarts have made since…the other Guts. I have also heard people saying that their joints became loose after a few days. My joints are tight to the point that I worry I might break something. One thing I haven’t really heard anyone talk about is the floating armor pieces. While I get that they allow for “better” articulation, but they constantly go out of alignment and look crooked. To me though, the idea that this figure can’t one-hand the dragonslayer is a bigger let down than almost any other issue this figure has. It clearly can be done, they just didn’t want to make a better wrist joint system/make them tighter.
My main issue is just how skinny he looks. I fully expected the sword problems so I bought an extra dragon slayer thats slightly thinner plastic and it seems to work much better
The beserker armor drains guts muscle mass the more he uses it. The figure is actually very accurate to how slender and beast like he looks when he had it fully activated.
Where did you get the extra dragon slayer?

I mean, its an okay figure. Yes you can do most of the pose but i agreed on some part with Anthony.
the figures look is pretty accurate to the manga despite what you said, the paint is supposed to be blood which is why its so inconsistent and he is that skinny in the manga, at least after he gets the armor since it messes up his body, and in the manga it has that scratchy texture, its not really supposed to be metallic
and for all the plates on the armor although it is a lot you can argue that its meant to be like that, the armor is meant to fracture and mess him up, not saying thats the reason but some people may like it that way and consider it accurate

The pegs for the interchangeable pieces being so tight have zero excuse when Sanji and Kaiju No. 8 exist. Crap, when Kamen Rider Fourze exists, and he came out _over a decade ago._

I think there's some problems with QC, i did buy two, and one of them can hold the sword and stand perfectly while the other one is a piece of crap...

If you want a good Berserker Armor figure, get the figma version.
Thats not at all a good recommendation. it also has lots of issues all be it not as much as this one and plus is monumentally being scalped these days. if you could get it for retail then hell yeah but again have to wait on a reissue otherwise id say honestly as someone with a shrine dedicated just to this look both this and the Threezero are not worth it with the figma for the aftermarket price not far behind.

@@KingEgyptian there is a model kit coming out but its again a model kit. so its not going to have a heavy feel to it. I don't believe there is any other articulated figures of it then Figma Sh and Threezero with really only SH and Figma in the same scale. I have the bootleg of the figma. i don't hold any of its negatives against the figure but online i've heard the issues are similar to the bootleg. ala the figma hinge joints. Honestly man I think its more likely a 3rd party comes in and does it at this point. since again non of them are really execelent figures. If they reissue the figma 410 i might get it. pair it with the shs cape. I just got my SH today along side another figure and sadly the other figure over shadowed it so. I love Berserk all time favourite series. The berserker Armour is my favourite fictional armour/ Weapon. Try Blade Master Weng by Mystro Union. incredible figure. As usual this is why i Love Anthonys takes so much. he is super critical of things like myself, we want the things to be good but fuck me when there not they are hot garbo. Then you got others glazzing them like there 11/10s which is pathetic. to clarify the SH is not bad its better then the original. but for the price jesus no. just no. Sorry for the rant lol.
@@Sonsto All good bro, thanks for your opinion. Besides the Berserk statues that go for thousands of dollars, I would recommend the Popup Parade statues. I have one of the Berserker Armor and Zodd. Sadly they are not figures, but they are very affordable and well made statues. And I also like Anthony's reviews as well, he doesn't sugar coat his thoughts and is critical, which I like.

shouldnt have only 1 eye as far as I am aware. the armour restores his hand so I'm assuming its the case for the eye since essentially its the beast of darkness taking over. not sure where this interpretation of the helmet came from outside of the berserk 2016 adaption, but from what I can tell its not accurate to the manga.

I have heard nothing but good things. Time for a reality check. the design is most definitely accurate but he is in fact too skinny. The arms are really hit or miss depending on what panel your looking at so that is entirely up to you and whichever you believe we see more because I cannot check every page for you.
People said the last one was good too. Have to question their motives or judgement.

i have it and i am glad it fixed SOME (yes only some) issues with the first guts figure. i only want to do a guts figure shrine and yet all these manufacturers can't do him justice. guess i'll just save up for prime 1 statues.

Threezero Berserker Armour is dog shit. worst thing in own in my collection and it was my white whale. the pastic they used is so bad that it doesn't break it shatters in to shards its so brital. do not buy it for your own sake.
Really hope Figma will come in clutch with the new Plamatea line with Guts.

Good Smile's new PLAMATEA line of pre-painted, snap-together model kits has this exact design up for preorder on BBTS for $54. The finish may not be as nice, but I know which one between the two I'm going to be checking out.

Question of the day: Yes, I'm looking forward for this Guts as well. I always wanted Berserk Armor figure and I missed on Figma so this is the one I'm getting. Also there will be kit of Berserk armor from goodsmile and I pre-ordered it as well.
When I saw this for preorder, I thought it'd be an improvement over the previous Guts figure.... Its unfortunate how poor the berserker SHF line is.

I unfortunately bought the first guts and griffith. There was no world where i was gonna pay full price for this after my experience with the first guts coming broken, then the replacement was missing armor pieces, then bandai took months to send a replacement part. Might get this if it gets clearanced anywhere, otherwise i may make threezero my main berserk figures. They cost more but these are overpriced as is so rather pay more for a figure that isnt crap
these figures are to expensive for me, a few month ago I started reading Berserk again and got some figures too, from figma (or KOs, not sure) Guts in his Black Swordsman armor and Berserker armor with similar accecoires. They have flaws too but they aren't that bad
I need to remember that every time I am tempted by a SHF I need to watch a review beforehand. And there's no freaking way I am pre-ordering any SHF; it is such ridiculous QC and build quality lottery for the money they charge. And that's a shame bc I would ***really*** like to buy the Onigashima One Piece SHFs and the new Ace, but who knows how costly a lesson they would be given how hit and miss SHF is. Such a disappointment.

There is no way figures as expensive as these SHF have so many problems, it's like they tried to make it this awful.
Instead of getting any of these SH Figuarts I went for the Figma ones or bootlegs of those.
Sure, they've loose joints but those can be tightened, they have normal proportions and details are on point.

You can get virtually the same pose without the fixed pose legs. It seems like they included them just to justify the price.
Just swap Ryu and Ken's fireballs. Ryu is the one who can do Red fireballs in game anyways.
I canceled my preorder. Didn't have faith in Bandai making a better figure than the others and I'm glad to see I was half right/half wrong. The figure fixed some stuff and is a bit better than the others but not by a long shot.
It's pretty much the Hasbro effect: They release a bunch of mid figures so when they make an actually good one/a wanted character everybody is happy to own it no matter what and just praise them for making it, lol.
I'm just gonna get the Plamatea, if that one isn't good either, at least it will be way cheaper and I'll probably have fun building it.

@@AnthonysCustoms i watched the video, in short your opinion is the figure is over engineered and... ugly... in my opinion your review is lazy and uninspired, now why is it uninspired? i wonder maybe cause you havent read Berserk which leads to missing a crap ton of details of the figure, per say the skinyness and range of motion for the shoulders per say, i mean damn if you can get something to look good and a bad in a ton of ways i rather have that than some limited thing such as the figma. i see people all over enjoying posing the hell out of the figure and you just whine and complain posing the thing so sloppily, would not be shocked if you hated on Revoltech too. this character has a ton armor and poses like crazy, considering the manga's art, this is just perfect, if making this figure were an easy job... Figma's would be half decent. but maybe you want action figures more akin to a motionless statue? idk man, also the cape replicates where shoulders should be to allow a wider range of arm movement, and it's there for a reason lol... not like you'd use the damn thing as intended anyways, like someone using a chizel instead of a hammer and then complain like their candy got stolen. anywho very lazy review 1/10

Honestly this is in contender for my favourite figure this year, his articulation is actually pretty great outside of the elbows and on my copy the only loose bit is the wrists which is to be expected with such a large sword, i admit they should have provided a stand to support it though.
To answer the question of the week I wasn't actually gonna get him until i saw people's posing on Instagram and how they hadn't had QC problems them went straight to AmazonJP and ordered it for a good price
Wow, that figure looks like shit. I'm not really a collector, just a fan of the manga, but they definitely made him too skinny, the armor is a bit slim around the waist but that's supposed to be it. The one eye glow must be new because that was never a thing in the manga and is pretty dumb imo, I know he has one eye but it's magic dwarven armor that makes you crazy, who gives a shit when it looks lamer. Also I noticed what you said about his arms and they are usually drawn to be longer than normal, he's a pretty tall guy with slightly lanky proportions. Officially he's 6'8" which I think is bullshit or mistranslated, and he's probably around 6'3"ish so idk if that matters but his physical appearance always seemed NFL player- like to me. I like the texture of the armor they gave him but that paint job is horrible and the cape looks bad. I wouldn't pay $50 for it.

QOTD: Unrelated to Berserk but still applies: I’ve seen the figma Isaac Clarke (Dead Space) and I would not have hesitated if I didn’t have the experience with the Doom Slayer. The pictures have convinced me that the figure won’t pose well and have similar issues with the joints making some of the anatomy, specifically the knees, look exceptionally awful.
It’s lunacy that, again, the Doom Slayer figma looks better than this. I see the joints and I’m like… oh man, what the heck. There’s no balance in the paint application.
I dare say that those praising the figure are either coping with the fact that the initial releases were that awful… or are just cultish fans.
Wow. Wow this figure is still shit. Sad to see we still won’t be getting a proper 1/12 berserk figure such a shame since guts is a badass. It seems that the QC is the main issue that makes it breaks this figure but I think I’ll try my luck with the model kit I already wasn’t into the proportions of this guts anyway. Unfortunately I did nope on this one. I already have the figma one and i prefer that color and look even though arguably this lined version is more accurate to the manga style. Still, if they ever release my favourite armored versions of guts I will likely get those.

Anthony you’ve red the manga, the armor manipulates his body and stretches him out, it’s freakish, Guts looks and gets sicker every time he uses it
i know how it works. ive never seen him look like this consistently. others who have read it seem to think hes too skinny here too.
A lot of people have said the same thing about him being skinny when wearing the armor but the pinched waist that this figure has is definitely going overboard. My paint applications were done a bit more evenly and I do think it’s an attempt to emulate the manga to mixed results. I think the joints could be a bit smoother without being too loose though.

Yknow what’s funny, i had such bad QC with my copy that the right leg disconnected at the waist out of box and he came with TWO right forearms. How they managed to fuck that up, I have no idea.
Theres some good news. Max factory is releasing a version of this figure that's basically the figma HoP guts but as a model kit so it's only like 55$ on BBTS honestly a better more affordable alternative especially with a lil extra paint
the kit does look really, really good compared to this
