@143Lovee thank you so much 143love. i am so glad that people like you are watching. i really want to teach as much as i can so other girls can learn who really love nail art but are struggling. it is hard work and a huge endeavor to try and get everything out there when there is so much to learn, but comments like these make it worth the whole thing! much love and thanks to you :) this comment means a lot to me. :)
@pinkthingz18 you are so welcome. i have taught nail art for many many years, just never on film and so i finally decided to do it!!!! film always scared me, but now i kind of love it...so many more to come!!!!! i learned by practicing and im always trying and making new techniques to simplify ways to do art "small" ....i have an art background and paint on canvas :) and i have been teaching and painting nail art professionally for 15 years :)
thank you. i learned this by staying very late at work and practicing. i dont believe many people did know how to use the brushes. so, i am happy to teach this to you. please pass this along to others who might learn and my love to you!!!! xoxoxox
you are so welcome....what paper works the best is just cheap paper.....notebook paper....its not about the paper as much as you practicing how to use the brush to benefit your working on nails...start with big lines and leaves etc and then just practice smaller and smaller...it REALLLLLLLLLY helps so much and spread the word for me, i need your help in getting it out there!! xoxo
@jhalleee thank you jhalleee! i hope very much to get the biggest nail art classroom in the world and teach everything i know on youtube for generations to come..i think it is such a cool thing and i believe it will be very interesting to see what happens 50 years from now :) i am so glad you are watching...i wish every comment was like this :) *huggggg*
awww...*hugest hug in the world* i am so so happy i can help you! i see messages like this and i say: ROBIN YOU CANT GIVE UP!!!! because i am so so happy to help you. thank you and you are the one right back, you have made sunshine on my day :D
i'm totally fascinated by your style and your technique. watching you paint the leaves, vines and flowers, i truly expected you to say "happy little clouds" at some point. you make it look just as easy and effortless as bob ross did back in my childhood
you are such an amazing teacher, i have been doing nails for over 8 yrs and nobody really taught me how to do nail art, I had to come up with my own technique. I am so happy you have provided your talent to give us some pointers.
thank you so much...thats why i use a lid...i spray water into the side of the lid where it goes down..that way you can add water as much as you like......if you get too thin, add more paint etc. until you get it right....but if you keep that water down in the lid and not all over the paint, you have control of youru water :D my love to you and thank you so much for helping me get my name out there ;D
@lacednotes thinner paint always give you better lines..if you are getting fat chunk lines...keep thinning down and keep rewinding!!!! xoxoxoxoox thank you for watching and practice will be the key to your success!!!!
@LadyAnglersGlamStyle thank you so much! i am so so happy you are watching and learning. it is hard at first but getting the brush strokes down is 1/2 the battle......then practice. you will be the best over time and keep rewinding!! you will be able to do 80% of my designs in no time. :) the portraits take a while longer ;) ;) *huge hug*
You give such good advice. I sent a new friend to your videos tonight, simply because you explain everything so nicely. I also believe that it's not always about having the most expensive or perfect tools, so much as it is about learning how to use the tools you have to the best of your ability.
No imaginas cuanto aprecio tu talento,me encantaria saber ingles para no perderme ni un solo detalle pues tus videos son mi therapia diaria.Grasias Robin
@mickyunit if you bought them right near the crafting paints, you can use them. i sometimes mess up and get gloss...they are water based they just dry shiney so its harder to determine when to topcoat...where the regular acrylic dries matte and you know you can topcoat without streaking...so, other than that, they are the same...the gloss even flows a little better....if you dont like one after you try it, just ask the store to exchange them out for matte, they usually do without problems. :) xo
@TheSouthernbabygirl perfect. i am so so glad it helps....thank YOU for watching and supporting me and my art....it makes me happy to know you are learning and making cool stuff :)
thank you for posting this playlist. I'm just starting out with nail art (for me and my daughter) and haven't been able to find many videos like this that go in depth on how to do these amazing pieces of art.
I think it's wonderful of you to share your knowledge. I appreciate everything you share with us. You genuinely seem to love helping others all the while totally enjoying your work. I will definitely practice and keep coming back to these videos for information. Thank you so much! Janice
I have been using only polish to do nail art with and watching this video makes me want to go out and get paint! I was worried about having to buy a bunch of different colors and now I dont have to. Thank you for posting!
Hi. Yes. Its very hard to film, talk and do steps. I have tons of tutorials here. My getting started videos are packed with info too. Sending love!!!! It gets easier!!!
The fluffly little fluff fluffs of your ginger bread man cracked me up already... how you explain the puuuuuuuuull this time was even better and made me subscribe this time :D I can really tell how much you love to explain things and what a sweet person you must be, love your work
u can´t be more perfect u know that? i have problems with my paint cause it´s too thick and i needed to know how to make it thinner. THANK UU you´re the one
You have to try crystal nails' one stroke and aquirelle paints, they come in the most amazing colors, and all the colors are malluable and opaque, you will love them!
Thanks for posting this video!!!!!!! Although I have been doing nail art and went to nail school this was never taught. I never would have saw it if you didn't recently comment on it. Thanks a million Robin Moses :-)
Just have to say i have learned a lot from you robin. I originally started looking at your pics because we had the same last name and I am into nails as well. im working on becoming a nail artist in my area, but have a lot more to learn.
I wanted to take the time to say thank you for your wonderful tutorials. I love nail art but I'm not very good with the different brush strokes just yet. From watching your videos I'm learning. I know your dreams will come true on wanting the biggest nail art class. You are very talented.
Hi. I started to buy brushes because I wanted to do more designs instead of using the dotting tool all the time and I just wanted to say you have helped a lot. My zebra design looks much better with the push and pull motion. thank you sooo much :D
Just wanted to say thank you so so so much for taking the time to put these videos up and actually taking the time to share ur knowledge and tips with us :) all of ur advice and tips have been so helpful! It is so nice of u to do that. I'm looking forward to learning much more from u. So glad I found u! :))
Thanks for this video! I just started working with acrylic paint and I can't get it to do anything in the nail art videos I watch! LOL. Please show more techniques when you get time. Thanks again, great video!
wow your channel is great!!! i'm not a nail tech, just love nail art and has been trying out designs on my own. glad i discovered your channel. i think i'm gonna learn a lot from your channel. hopefully u don't get bugged out by all the questions i may ask you. would u mind doing a tutorial on how to do nail art on your own nails using the non dominant hand, cause i'm completely backwards with my left hand. thanks in advance.
as long as the gel polish is set and ready...you just paint on like normal and topcoat with a good topcoat. i am not exactly sure how new gel systems work as i am not a huge fan of doing gel. it used to be much harder than it is now..i havent had the time to test new gels but..i know the premise is the same. id paint like normal and topcoat with gel and try it. i dont believe it will shrink. if it does. decorate on gel and use a regular topcoat and it should look perfect! xoxox my love to you!
@Ev1izadiva nope..that is a great question...i only put my brush in water to 1. thin the paint, or 2.clean my brush and dip into a new color.......the key is to keep the paint you are using thin.....so, putting the brush in water in between messes with the integrity of the paint......so, no, i dont dip between or reloading..the brush is essentially dry and the paint is thin (as in video) after i am finished........i rinse with water....if i am using polish...i use acetone.
I really enjoy watching ur videos Robin Moses. I especially love the floral designs. I'm a beginner at the nail art and I have been trying some of ur designs. not good yet but I am inspired by ur work. thank you.
I just purchased your brushes. I thought about getting an cheapo set from Walmart (not that yours are expensive because they are not), but none of them looked the same shape as yours. I decided that I want to start out right and learn correctly from the beginning. I tried the one stroke painting technique that I asked you about earlier, but it just made me sad. I am going to try to paint my nails like you do and definitely practice on paper first. I found a nail practice sheet online and printed it out on heavy 110 lb paper. I am excited . Thank you for all you do!!!
Just wanted to say thanks for everything your doing! I'm so glad I've discovered you on youtube! You are definitely not like any other nail guru, you are so wonderful, and I see the passion you have for nails! I have learn so much from your videos, not only how to do a simple design but learning all these facts, what to use, what not to use, how to mix colors, but most importantly, just being creative. Thank you again for taking your time posting up these videos!
it makes my day when you respond!!! LOL :D i think your playlists are great, and if im looking for something specific i usually find it with very little searching. if im not doing anything, i usually just pick a playlist and hit "play all" and just skip the ones that pop up that ive watched xD thank you for being so dedicated to the people that watch your videos! idk about anyone else, but i seriously appreciate it, and it means a lot
I love your designs and tutorials! I am trying hard to learn how to paint but never was much of an artist, would really love to see more on brush strokes in small areas like this since I do nails. Having a difficult time wrapping my mind on some of the techniques and basic brush motions but with the videos you make it is helping me along. Thanks a ton!
Thanks Robin. I was struggling with the technique before I watched this one. I am off to try it now! Love your videos and can't wait to start my new career!
Thank you SO much for this video and all your other videos! I am going to go out and get a new Stripper...oh I mean Striper brush. I bought the ones from Ebay, they are green, red and blue with white and I find them very stiff and they always slide to the side when I try to stripe. I love how easy it was for you to do your zebra print loved it. Thanks again
@robinmosesnailart Thanks so much!! i cut one of my brushes just like ur vid and started playing around on my existing polish..i just couldn't wait! i'm thrilled and surprised at how good it looks! i made a xmas tree on my thumb and a single shamrock on another finger and messed around w/ a silver fleur de lis! i think i'm gonna need some reading glasses tho! haha! getting old! i'll see if i can post on your fb fanpage. hugs!!! finally i have a hobby!!!
see my Hey robin playlist..it says it all, but 'apple barrel, folk art, delta' the hey robin section is me knowing what im doing on film more than i did here...its easier to understand :D i hope this helps!

The first three and a half minutes saved me from spending more money than I should have. Thank you so much, Robin!
