stop scary stories to tell in the dark freaked me out. the one that always stuck with me is a girl driving home and the truck behind her keeps flashing their lights and she thinks they’re following her and when she gets in her driveway she calls the cops and when she gets out of her car you find out a guy was in her backseat with a knife and that’s why he was flashing the lights so he wouldn’t kill her. to this day i always check my backseat before i start driving

Omg YES!! I remember that scary story about the girl with the bow around her neck. My teacher played like a cd of them telling the stories and I can hear the guy narrator saying “Her head, FELL OFF” eight year old me was SHOOK!!😭

The way I get scared so easily, it’s litterally not even 9 pm yet and I’m only halfway thru destiny’s first story and I’m already having to turn this off and listen to it in full daylight 😭
If Des preps the outline and activities for the pod and edits the whole thing, what does Sara do for the podcast? Love them both, I’m just curious about the bts of it all.
i honestly dont think that she does that much for the podcast, maybe just running the instagram but you can see that maybe des puts more effort into the podcast, and sara its just there, love them both but it not seem fair that des does the majority of the job, and in her vlogs sometimes you can see her getting stress about having to edit the pod
perhaps des takes it more seriously and sara is just there to have a convo with des and enjoy herself. but yeah, i don’t think it’s super fair to all of the hard work des puts it
I've wondered this too but maybe Des just likes to do the majority of the work? Originally it was just her's (Dishing it with Des) so maybe she's just more passionate about it/likes to have the creative control. I'm sure if it was that much of a burden she'd ask Sara to help out more

OMFG WHEN U WERE TALKING ABOUT THE MAN IN THE HAT I NEVER KNEW THAT WAS A THING I HAVE A SPOOKY STORY ABOUT THIS: My brothers childhood friend was sleeping over. He moved out of the neighborhood but was visiting and staying with us for 3 days. We were all out side and we have wood around our neighborhood but their is a gate blocking it. We saw something on the road so we went to go see what it was. My brothers childhood friend saw something in the woods and started crying and screaming and running (by the way he is 11 at this time so he’s old enough not to just randomly be acting like that) we were all confused and asked what’s wrong. He said he saw a tall man in a hat with burn marks. The creepy part is that in the woods their is a factory and me, my cousins, my friends, and their friends all saw it to and saw him slowly walk away. We went and told our parents they didn’t believe us now we live in fear scared that it will come after us. I have convinced my parents to install cameras everywhere outside the house and can’t sleep at night. I swear on my life this story is real I don’t know what that thing was in the forest but it was as if it was human but not. I’ve never heard about the man in a hat so that was really interesting to hear about
I only stayed through the scary stories for charlee, they freaked me out

Am I the only one that remembers "The Creepover" series by P.J. Knight books where it would be a group of girls having a sleepover of some sort but the books would always be different themed book. I remember the " No Trick or Treating" one scaring me the most! Also does anyone remember "dead time stories". I think it was a segment nickelodeon used to do with Jennifer stone (from wizards of waverly place).

Scary stories to tell in the dark scared me but I loved it!!! Same for me reading in 2nd or 3rd grade ish! I am that teacher now with all the books in her room (almost 1000 which is an official library!) and I have Scary Stories to Tell In The Dark (3 I think) in my room and my 7th graders love it. But they’re creepy lol 😂

You should listen to the You’re Wrong About podcast episode “Killer Clowns”. It goes deep into the lore of why it was happening. They also have a bunch of Halloween and spooky episodes.
GIRL I remember those school safety videos. they actually scared me as a kid. specifically the one where the kid gets catfished by this guy in a truck. at some point he hides under a desk or something at a school ?!

Sooooo I just got my certifications for being a substitute teacher. So hopefully nothing creepy happens to me but thanks for comment about how substitute teachers need just as much respect as a full-time teacher. 😅🤍
