I have been a fan since their self-titled album in 1996. These guys are among the most consistent bands in musical history. The re-invent themselves just enough to attract new fans without losing their existing ones. Though they are not musically similar, they share a lot of the same great qualities as another juggernaut, Tool. Keep shredding, Project 86, you are one of the greatest bands in hard rock history...
Sorry to be "that guy", but the self-titled album released in 1998. 1996 was the year the band was formed :)
These are REAL musicians. P86 is such an underrated band. I always admired Schwab and his colleagues for their being so passionate about making music and not giving up. Although they don't have a billion people fanbase, they have been writing songs of their own style for so many years. And moreover, it gets better and better with every album. So in love with the new release. Definetely gonna buy it.
As a 15 year long fan, I'm continually amazed at what these guys put out, past and present. They never fall into a routine of sound, but still don't follow the masses just for popularity. They earn every single fan...
IKR?! I'm not a 15 year fan, but pretty dang close! It's been oh, 13 for me I think
Couldn't have said it better myself.
YEP! :)
I’ve always thought the same. An underground Gem 💎
I learned of these guys through SDvsRAW 2007(?) and fell in love! They are the next best thing I have listened to, and I pray that doesn't change! They are the greatest living band on earth!
Project 86 is one of those bands that just has such a unique sound that I absolutely love. I can listen to almost any other band of a similar genre and I don't mind them but I don't particularly love many of them. Then I listen to project 86 and I absolutely love most of their music.
I'm a fairly new fan of P86. I've found their music to be very full. The music is very passionate and the lyrics really leave you with meat to chew on for a while. They are both poetic and primal. The songs have been with me for some hard times spiritually.
+TheChairman I have. it was the first album I listened to.
+TheChairman Spyhunter was one of my favorites
+Benjamyn Wilson Lyrically, I think Project 86 and Demon Hunter are pretty similar in style. And Ryan Clark is my favorite lyricist, so I naturally love P86 as well.
+Benjamyn Wilson their lyrics are terrible, as if he looked in a thesaurus just to rhyme, and she never sings, just yells. That's all he can do, to be autotuned on the highs. Just incredible! And yes, I personally can do better and have, and have the proof-not just opening my mouth when I don't know what I'm saying
+Ryan Mcelmurry You are entitled to your opinion. It does not change an iota.
This is the battle hymn you sing as you punch your past in it’s stupid face ✊
The more I listen to this, the more I love it! I still think "Spy Hunter" and "Solace" are their best songs. Much love from Fresno California!
rebuttal. best ever
Never Surrender, never give up. Love it guys. Thank you.
The last album was not up to par...
BUT now it sounds like P86 have found their groove again!
This new album has recaptured the catchy alternative sound that makes P86 so amazing!
I like this band and demon hunter
Every time I hear or watch it, it gives me the push not to quit... Keep it up p86
Be ready Brothers, soon the battle will be fought.
Amen.
such an epic sound!
just saw them last night. They are MUCH harder live. It was sooo sick
Patrick Roybal When I saw them live, I was honestly kind of scared at the change; they were crazy.
I was the only guy over 40 jumping in the Pit at SWC about 10 yrs ago to these guys. Remind me of my Punk Rock days but this time for Jesus and sober.
I remember doing security for them once. God put it on myheart to give one of them a duct tape wallet I had just made. It turned out to be something he really needed. He had his stolen (or lost if forget now) but still, wasnt able to be in the concert as I was doing security for all the bands but still. I miss the Modesto Underground.
@@RobertlawrenceBDCMinistries I remember you.
we rocked together
front right side of the stage most of the time.
center of most of those pits and death walls.
I was with my churches youth group. we had the Ammunition tent the second and 3rd year we were there. I rolled with my Jr.High guys that were in my tent i lead.
Im bad with names but it clicked beacuse I noted then we had the same first name.
Been a fan since these dudes were jammin in basements and parks...and they are still just as fresh as the day they first stepped on the scene!!
But what about the Cavemen?
still love this band.
totally planning on road tripping out to see these guys in march. I'm so feeling thus album.
Love these guys!:) So amazing!!
Yeah, that was awesome!
YES! Love it!
The only thing I have to say: P86 is still and will always be legit.
Another great song and album. Purchasing it tonight on iTunes.
18 year fan and counting....
Loveeeee Itttt!!
I love these guys.
You guys are amazing.
Wow very groovy beginning, happy I'm seeing you guys tonight
Picking this up today!
So proud to be apart of this album through indieGOGO (signed drum head is so cool). I am totally amazed by this album. Great job guys, keep making mind blowing music!
It's good to have you guys back. :)
It's the best, keep it up
Thank you for making this video. It tickles my fancy.
Diggin the song guys, you definitely delivered.
As if anyone ever needed to know what post-hardcore is. Well, here it is, in magnificent glory. Almost as good as Christian Black Metal. Almost.
Been listening to these guys for some ten years, they fell off pretty hard for a minute there, but this album fucking slays.
One of the only Christian bands I still respect and enjoy. Keep rockin' guys, you do you.
check out demon hunter
check out for today
luis granja i fucking love them
Bryan Lenihan Right on bro
luis granja haha they such a badass band
their new album on a whole sounds like some kind of jacked carousel, limping along but there's a couple that are gems
Nice
Nice work, guys! Been following since inception
Зачет!
Great video.. Breaking stuff is fun..lol
2020 here
my favorite music is rock.
I love their music, always have. And this song is great but what's up with the subpar music video!? I would expect they could afford much better. Maybe one day I will get in touch with them and produce something epic with them.
Cooool! Good job on the song and video. I like how Schwab just throws the mic stand at the end, but then conveniently there's another one right next to him in the next shot, haha. The link in the IndieGoGo email didn't work (said "Video was removed by user") but I'm glad I still managed to find the video.
he luckily updated the post on indiegogo's site with the fixed link.
Ah, at least there's that. The fixed link hasn't gone out to people's email inbox yet though, or at least not mine. Just posting this to make sure the band/IGG team are aware because people might get confused.
dicen q estos tipos seran mas grandes q metallica
Oh yeah this song kicks but.
Since when is Ryan Clark the vocalist of this band?
Such an amazing video. Not the best track from the album though. But awesome as well. The whole album is fantastic, actually.
Hmmmm. I was kind of hoping for more...
Why isn't this on spotify? :(
Oh good, I wasn't the only one wondering this.
irockudont56 I know right? Why are us spotify-users being blocked out of enjoying this superb album? :'(
I know as a Spotify subscriber, I was bummed when it was added then taken away... :(
I think it's because spotify pays artist like a fraction of a cent for every play. ( which isn't very much considering millions of people aren't listening to P86 on spotify)
@@nomed6548 its more likely contract domain rights stuff between the original band members and the current ones. Its the reason you cant even buy P86 self titled album.
Where is this?
anyone know the guitarists name? I met him at a show and he was really cool I just forgot to ask him. Wikipedia says its Devin King from the overseer but it really doesn't look like him
The CD Booklet says Darren King did the guitars for the album. However I believe it is Dustin Lowery that is featured in the video as he has been P86's touring guitarist for a few years.
Brian Lawhorn let me clarify this, since Dustinn is my uncle. I'm pretty sure Dustinn helped write most of the music, he just didn't record on it I guess, but yeah this is him in the video, and he has been touring with them for 3 years I think. Maybe longer
I'm confused by the line-up. Who's in this video?
The hammer fist breaks the table, striking fear into evil men...may God forgive me... evil coming forth brings pain... brings blood...may God forgive me... forgive me...
Red, Demon Hunter, Project 86, who else is gonna go bald with a beard?
My money's on Disciple. Kevin's been doing the long hair/clean face thing for over 20 years, he's bound to get tired of all that maintenance one of these days.
Matt Scannel from Vertical Horizon does, has been forever.
The bands you listed have been bald since the beginning. Haha
Prediction: New genre called "Bald Metal" will be formed in the near future.
Wade Long Andrew Schwab's afro would like a word with you.
Saw project86 at a small church when they first started out. They were good. They lost their way. " my back's so full of scrapes, with the miles i've walked of waste".
No they didn't. They've always been good
press f to pay respects
I miss his spiked hair.
I have tons of older Project 86 CD's as well as Wait for the Siren, and I have to say, I don't like this song all that much. They just made his voice too computerized and they don't have the same "Get up and bang your head" feel that they used to.
Judging from this song I don't see P86 releasing anything as great as And The Rest Will Follow again. This song just doesn't stand out in my opinion.
Nice hipsters!
Too edgy
