I got out of pick and went to pack! So, I’m short and I’d have to climb the ladder to get to the top shelf, then the next one I’d have to get down on my knees to get something that was stuffed in the bottom shelf. Then back to the top. Drove me crazy!

BUT, I have also been told by one PA that you can if it's not passed the blue line you can? I saw one counter drop an item and in full view reached down and picked it up. Conversely, I've read here that one guy got terminated because he called for an Andon and waited for a long time and finally reached in and picked it up. I guess the cameras were on him, and he got called in and eventually canned. I'm just wondering what you guys do at your facility?
So of course you can pick an item up if its like near your feet or close to the station. But where you cant pick it up is on the pod floor. there should be a yellow and black line i think that separates the floors. you cant cross that line. If you drop something on the pod floor you have to pull an andon and let one of the vested people pick it up for you.

You are judged by the amount of "time away from task"... If you're productive you will have no issues. If you are consistently slow, it may raise issues. But from what I have been told, no one tells you when to go or not go to the bathroom. It's a job, not grade school.
