On the 5th measure of the A section I believe it goes straight to a C7 without a G-7 first
'Normal' improvisation technique, great, but nothing special. Anyway, it's a 'Rhythm Changes' on 'A strain'. By staying in key, (Bb concert), you can develop anything you want without all the passing changes. It's even better, and what most good Jazzmen use.
It's called the 2-5 my friend.
