Love the way you explain the work. You could make a GREAT elementary teacher by explaining why we do what we do.
Thank you so much for not assuming we know 😍
I've been knitting for a little more than a year and could never figure out how to pick up a dropped stitch. This is the best video I've ever seen for teaching this. Thanks to you I won't have to tear out rows!!
I've been doing a blanket and I thought I was going to have to start again because I'd made some mistakes. Then I came across this video. It's an absolute life (and time) saver. Thank you !
Wow! This is going to make my knitting life so much easier! Thank you!!!
Brilliant! I really didn't want to undo 4 rows including cables and now understand how to correct earlier errors. I still don't quite understand why my correction in rice stitch needed a knit stitch to be made when I thought it was in a rib row, but through trial and error I got it right. Thank you so much for a very clear tutorial, and the way you demonstrate creating a new purl stitch is far easier than other videos I've seen.
Thank you so much for showing me this technique of how to fix a knit seed stitch. I am beginner knitter and I started the knit stitch and made this mistake
And I just unraveled my whole project because I didn’t know how to fix it. Wished I watched this video sooner. Thank you so much for showing us how to fix it.🧶🧶♥️
This is the exact issue I'm having on my current project. There is a wide seed stitch border and I get off pattern sometimes. Now I feel confident I can fix the errors. Thank you so much!
Ohhh Marly wish I had seen this 2 months ago when I picked up my sons chevron scarf WIP. I’ve been putting in lifelines and frogging and trying to save stitches but couldn’t figure out which way they go back on. So now I do. You are a godsend! 🥰🌺💐
Thank you! I could never wrap my head around the orientation of the ladders when changing knits to purls. Now I've got it!
+Sunnie Noone Fantastic!!!!
BRILLIANT thanks for showing ..i coudent for the life of me getting it right. But thank to your wonderful instructions i NOW know what to do xStay safe x BLESS and many thanks ......
Oh my thank you so much. I was knitting a throw and gave up when i saw my error. It has been sitting for almost a year! I will follow exactly as you have shown here. Thanks so much I will begin again. I am a new knitter glad I found u!
Thank you soooo much! I THINK I repaired my seed stitch border. I made mistakes in two columns and I think I fixed it. Whew!
Brilliant, clear tutorial, as a left hander this was fiddly but I managed it and fixed a mistake over 5 stitches , five rows back. Thank you so much Marly for your clear explanation and demonstration x Happy New Year to you x
This was so great! It would have saved me a lot of ripping beck had I seen this earlier. Live and learn :-)! Thank you!
You are such a good teacher!
You have given me peace of mind! Finally, I will remember how to do this! Thank you for such a clear tutorial !
+Donna Fournier What a great thing to say. Thank you for the compliment.
Exactly what I needed!!! Thank you. Such simplicity. You are a great teacher. I have watched a couple of videos with you and your Mom. Just love them!!!! So appreciate what you do.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Marly Bird for this GREAT tutorial! You saved my project. I've subscribed and will be looking for your tutorials in the future.
Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial! I am going to try to repair mistake done during joining yarn (double yarn).
amazing video!! I'm excited to fix my blanket!
You can do it!
THANK YOU! You are a lifesaver! I just learned to knit 2 weeks ago & am in the process of seed stitching a baby's blanket for my friend and I noticed a mistake 2 rows down. Needless to say, I've unraveled the entire blanket 4 times already, cast on 4 new times, and was about to do that a 5th time and found your video and fixed my 2 row error without the crochet needle. :D This made my day and my knitting!
That is so great!!! Wahooo!!!
This has been very helpful 🙂 Thanks
I love this, thank u so much!
Awesome. Thank you!!!
Vers useful tutorial! Thank you!
Thanks for making this wonderful tutorial Marly. I am less afraid of mistakes thanks to YOUR knitting tuts. May I ask, how do you get your nylon cables to be straight and not all twisty? I find them very hard to relax even with hot water. Do you have any tips?
Wondrous!! Thanks again!!
Love this tutorial you make it so easy to see what you are doing thank you this is very useful.
+Jo-anne Whyman Oh good :)
Thank you for taking the time to reply please keep your videos coming.
❤Thank you ❤️
Amazing
Thank you for great tutorial...wish I'd watched some videos before leaping into full on surgical repair on a piece I was close to finishing (but couldn't convince myself to let it be once I noticed a purl where should have been a knit some 40+ rows ago).
Excellent tutorial, very helpful! Thank you!
The shawl displayed behind and to your far right is very pretty; a really beautiful pairing of colors...wondering if the pattern is on Ravelry or elsewhere maybe?🌱
But how do you rip out rows when you're in seed stitch? I screwed up my pattern and did like...5 rows wrong.
How do I fix a seed stitch on the edge?
What happens if you drop multiple stitches, say 5 one right after the other....do you still do it with a crochet hook? Do you run one stitch at a time all the way up or do you take each dropped stitch up one level before going up the next level? Can you guess what I had happen? I just put a safety pin in the dropped stitches to keep them from going any further and took out all my rows of stitching until I was down to the dropped ones.
+Kathryn Lester That is a very good question. Yes, you can do one by one just like I showed you in the video. You could also get a double pointed needle and literally work those stitches up using the "runs" as your working yarn. I will do another video showing you how to do this when I get a chance. You can do this...for now, just pick them up one at a time ;-)
hi. I am working on a scarf. My mistakes are six rows down. How do I fix this. Is there a video how to add a lifeline on a seed stitch pattern?
You have to drop down the column of stitches and then fix the mistake. As you climb up the ladder you will have to make each stitch as it is supposed to be. It will be a knit, a purl, a knit, a purl, etc.
what if you dropped the stitch on the edge of the seed stitch
