When you listen to these brothers you can appreciate why Rasulullah(SAW) used to sit and listen to the poets of the time as a form of halal entertainment. These brothers are our poets of this time. We should encourage them and support them and make duah that Allah(SWT) keeps them steadfast in proclaiming the message of Islam and they don't lose sight of their purity of intention and keeping their message only for the sake of Allah(SWT). -Ameen There are so many young brothers who start out with spoken word or using only vocals but then after sometime when their message becomes widespread and their popularity rises they succumb to the pressure of the music industry and start including instruments and even dance in their videos. I want to clarify one point, which is that when Allah talked about the life (duniah) was not like how He talked about the "lower life" (al-Hayat alduniah) He (SWT) never underestimated the life, but rather, He only warned us from the "lower life" which included play and amusement. In fact, He showed us the importance of life in many places in the Quran that He mentioned it before the afterlife. In other words, working hard in your life and doing good in it is preferable and not the contrary. May Allah guide us all to the right track.
