With intial information about books i think sir you are obviously avid and voracious reader of novels and books stupenduous style of story telling and outstandingly narrated
Outstanding as ever Ali. You make it so accessible and relatable in contemporary desi dialect and rich diversity of historical muslim philosophical context mashallah. This time i felt like I came along the journey with you in being overwhelmed but thoroughly entertained by the intricacy and sophistication of this masterpiece. I also marveled at an unusual nuance - the refreshingly raw normative gender, sexual and financial expressions which seem estranged in contrast to the shifts toward more interest-based ideological imperatives. Keep up the great work brother.
Your explanation of the story line was good, but i feel you should also have spoken briefly about the philosophies represented and lived out by those characters. Brothers Karamazov is a great book not so much because of its story line but because of the philosophies it contains in it. Overall, i appreciate the way you described the story.
Well done.,...! I absolutely agree with your assessment/status of the book BK in the history of western literature....! I read this book during the global pandemic, Covid. The psychological depth of various characters in this dysfunctional Karamazov family is a testimony of a great piece of art.
Wow thank u very much for covering this Sir i was eagerly waiting for this video...didn't knew this novel was recognized by some of the great authors..heard about this novel from Jordan Peterson a couple of months ago he rate it above the crime and punishment this summary really helps alot...you deserve alot sir keep up the good work P.S please also cover some books by George Orwell like 1984 or Animal farm at some point❤
I think, JP likes Dostoevsky because they (both JP and Dostoevsky) were atheists in their youth and then ended up becoming Christian preachers later. Do read it though, it is a gem!!!
I finnally finished this book yesterday. I was expecting a sudden ending but I didn't want Mitya to be charged. The ending of the the novel is also so interesting. The defence lawyer of Mitya was such a genius but at the end Jury somehow finds Mitya guilty. This book has so many other stories going on. Story of school boys, the poor retired captain, Zosima helping the poor women. Some very sad and disturbing parts also. I wept on one part when Ivan is asking Alyosha how can a mother forgive the murder of his child in the name of God. Dostoyevskys like that asks serious questions throughout this book. One thing I didn't understand was at the beginning I liked Alyosha. He was driving the story, The nice guy. At the end he had no contribution or didn't have any active role from the time Mitya is Arrested. I don't know if I am right. I just feel bad for Mitya tho he also isn't a good guy. This was the book because of which I came to this channel so can't thank this book enough. Took me a while to read but this is really a great book. Emotional kar dete hain yi kitab yaar. And Thanks you Sir ji for the video. I used to watch it bit by bit to understand any chapter or character and not to get spoilers haha. Today finished it all. Thanks a alot

Yar I totally agree with you - this book is just amazing- all those sub-plots are meaningful - what a genius Dostoevsky was.
Thanks and appreciate cosmos
If there was no background music/sound effect added to, it might be better.
Very nice 🎉

Great explanation, but I still dont understand what was the meaning of the stinking of elder zosimov.

Good Summary but how about analyzing about the triggering factors
I think the life long hatred between the father and his sons was the main factor.
