Makes me think of my experience at University of Maryland here in the US. I have my master's from there, am in a VERY good job-at least for me, and it's produced some very well-known people (Jim Henson, Len Bias-RIP, Larry David, Sergey Brin, Michael Ealy), but up through the 1980s, it was considered a "safety school" for those with college aspirations. People still don't realize that not everyone is gonna be able to attend an Ivy or Ivy-adjacent (Stanford, MIT, Caltech, Southern Ivies, McGill, Toronto, Oxbridge, China's C9 League, Japan's National 7+Waseda, Sophia, & Keio, etc.). That doesn't mean you won't find them at the highest rungs of the success ladder one day
Just started watching your videos and they have been really helpful. Please guide me. What would you suggest is a better degree to do for future employability prospects? Bsc business analytics or bsc business management?
Can you suggest some top universities in UK for Masters in Project Management? I am currently pursuing my bachelors in computer engineering and am looking forward for my masters.
My daughter got offer from University of Sheffield for MSc in advance computer science and from Queen Mary university for MSc in computer science And MSc in Artificial Intelligence from Royal Halloway university near London. Can you guide whether to choose Sheffield because it’s ranked higher ? Or choose Queen Mary because it’s in London and that will have advantage of getting jobs and brand London ? Or Royal Holloway, although not from Russel group, it’s ranked 32 in computer science in UKGuardian ranking. Please guide.
Hello! I would say you should choose the university based on your priorities, and whether or not ranking is one of them. If it is, then the different rankings can be quite helpful to guide the choice. Royal Holloway, despite not being a Russel Group, is quite a good university from what I have heard. It is also true that staying in London allows you to job search more efficiently, but at the moment most of the processes are still done remotely so staying far from London shouldn't be a disadvantage.
Idk if you've already made your choices but the area just outside the uni is not your typical busy central london road. The walk from the train station to the uni is peaceful and I felt completely safe walking. You walk on a wide main road with some nice greenery to your right (if i remember correctly) but main thing was I felt safe perfectly safe walking. Literally down the same road you've got some nice food shops and if you go down more to whitechapel (literally still on the same road) theres even more nice food places.
Hey! Im joining for LLM this year, could you tell me about the reputation of QMUL among employers and employability of graduates in UK in your opinion?
This is really helpful. I will be starting my msc international business in queen mary and was searching for a video like this. Can you make a video on what skills and action plans are required to get a job in UK ? That would be really helpful
Late question but is the university as culturally diverse as universities like UCL and KCL? I read that there’s a huge percentage of South Asian students compared to other ethnic groups.
Perfect timing for this, applied to queen mary through UCAS today🙏🏻
Yaay!!
have you heard back yet?
@@muskanseth1111 Nope, nothing yet, i’m beginning to worry😭

Bsc business analytics or bsc business management?
I applied for MSc in Artificial Intelligence in QM, any idea about it? I'd love to get your opinion.
I don't have too much information on the Msc programmes at QM unfortunately!

Unfortunately I can't help as I don't have that much insight into the project management industry
Hello, even I have applied for MSc management
How is the management school,
Especially for someone who has a business degree in the bachelors
Not the most organised from my experience, but I did my bachelors rather than my masters at Queen Mary's SBM. The teachers and lecturers were good
I am confused should i apply to queen mary or edinburgh ?
You should choose based on your list of priorities (city, course, teaching, ranking, ect)

I got an offer from QM and this was very helpful! I’ve heard the area where it’s located is a bit sketchy, is this true or is it okay?
I'm there and not in my experience

Queen mary has a way better faculty for MSc finance compared to Edinburgh. Then why is it ranked so low?

Congratulations!
