Thank you for the detailed yet easy to understand explanation of the various bandwidth settings. I value your knowledge and opinion and recently purchased the h501. I am in love with it!!! The sound is phenomenal and the Bluetooth is just a wonderful bonus. Thank you for your fantastic videos! I have gotten so interested, I have started studying for my Technician ticket🙏
Not sure if this is the right place to ask a couple of questions, but here it goes! 1. Could you make a comparison between the Eton 750 and the Tecsun PL-990 please. More money does not always mean better! 2. Could you also delve more into receiving Wefax and RTTY decoding on a Windows platform computer with the best Software. I appreciate your help or anyone else who might be able to help me. Thanks for your time, Steve
Nice one Giles - again through your explanation you make the complicated understable for a novice 👍 - look forward to listening & participating when broadcast later this Month - All the best - Francis
Too bad nobody's broadcasting at higher bandwidths anymore. I remember radio was bright and clear (on medium wave) when I was a child. A cheap radio might let a 9k whistle through indicating that it has a bit of response up there. Seems like all the remaining stations are still clustered around 9.5 MHz (at night) with so much room.
Thanks for explaining these points - I've always been baffled by them. Thank you!

I wish pass band tuning and variable DSP came on smaller shortwave receivers. That's why I enjoy my ICOM 7410 so much.

Nice review. The 990 is way out of my budget for a radio. Do you think a 330 would be sufficient?
the 330 is great
