Silver Bullet is a Bolliger and Mabillard inverted roller coaster located at Knott's Berry Farm, an amusement park in Buena Park, California. Currently, it is the longest inverted coaster on the west coast with 3,125 ft (953 m) of track. The ride lasts 2 minutes and 9 seconds. It features 6 inversions including a vertical loop, cobra roll, zero-g roll, and two wingovers just before the final helix. It is the first B&M inverted rollercoaster to feature an overbanked curve. Unlike many other B&M coasters, Silver Bullet's track and supports are filled with sand, making it very quiet; in contrast, other B&M coasters are known for their distinct loud roar. Silver Bullet was also the first Inverted roller coaster to implement magnetic braking. The ride also has a rare B&M maintenance orb car that allows for track inspection over Reflection Lake.
The ride begins with a 90-degree right turn before the train climbs up to the 150-foot (46 m) peak of the lift hill. Following this is the signature Bolliger and Mabillard pre-drop and a 180-degree swooping drop to the right. Silver Bullet has a rare wider turn in the first drop for a B&M. Riders then enter the massive loop and twist through an overbanked turn to the left, which is considered the 1/2 inversion according to the ride operators. Riders quickly head into the cobra roll that towers over the entrance. The train then flips up into a Zero-G Roll and swoops into a helix to the left. The train drops down slightly, then enters the first corkscrew. The train then turns slightly before entering the second corkscrew, this time to the right. The finale of the ride is a double helix to the left that runs up into the brake run. The train makes a slightly banked U-turn to the right to enter the block brake and eventually the station.

Notice how quiet the ride is, compared to other coasters? This is due to the tracks being filled with sand, to help dampen the noise.
Dreyness Unfortunately people will always build next to parks, race tracks, and shooting ranges and then complain. Knott's has to keep the volume down unfortunately.

Something I hate about their newer rides. It’s not a true B&M without that intimidating roar.

I think this coaster is very under-rated. It's super smooth and doesn't have any head-banging.

I don't see why everybody complains about this ride. It's a newer B&M Invert and has smoother transitions than Batman at SFMM and Raptor at CP, which both opened in '94. I've been on all three and this one is my favorite because it's smoother and doesn't smack your head around like Batman and Raptor.

It has a few moments on the ride where you will feel that but it’s not that bad
Just because I said it was bigger dousn't mean I said it was better and thats your opinion of the coaster plus Nemesis Inferno is a whole lot different than Silver Bullet.

And silver doesn't look good on a roller coaster track.
It's funny to see everyone's feet kicking up the first hill and then they all stop at the drop.lol.
It's just not very intense. Many other B&M coasters are super smooth while still being intense (eg Montu, Flight Deck, Afterburn, Katun).
It's not a bad ride, in fact it's a very fun ride. It's just not quite as good as other B&M inverted coasters.
This ride is awesome, i was scared the first time I got on.

silver bullets are fast so the ride is fast and it has themeing to do with the story lolll
when my son about 10 years old, he went like 11 times, and after persistently asked me I went my first time... all I remembered he told me "mom, when we go to the top, just put both your hands up in the air, and open your eyes, okay..." OMG the photo they took said it all during that moment lol

Because Silver Bullet the ride is the "longest and fasted inverted roller coaster on the West Coast" and silver bullets are supposed to be the fasted ammo ever fired from a revolver or other firearm.
I do agree they should have added some silver to the paint job to match it's name and story. ;)

It's surprisingly quit for an inverted coaster
The track for Silver Bullet was filled with sand to dampen the noise of the ride
The supports are silver. Its hard to tell
Sometime during 2017, Cedar Fair should remove that one piece of Silver Bullet out of the water and bring back the Reflection Lake. Coast Rider should get expanded over the Surf Gliders and Pacific Scrambler. Xcelerator should get another layer of track, race both trains side by side and be called Xcelerator Drag Racers. Finally the Parachutes should get brought back to the Sky Cabin. It's the only ride that's missing from the Boardwalk. Hope Grand Slammer and Tampico Tumbler make their return to Fiesta Village in late 2017.

It's a fun B&M invert, but not the best I've been on. Yes, it's smooth but I'm not a big fan of the layout!!! Even montu at Busch gardens Tampa and raptor at cedar point Sandusky has better layouts in my opinion!!
