It’s heartbreaking when parents show blatant favoritism, your mom left you with nothing, so I hope whatever you told her helped her realize how unfair she’s been!!!
I was raised, once you give a 'gift', whatever they do with it is not my business. If they don't want it, fine. If they trash it, OK? If I felt they didn't appreciate it, I just wouldn't give them another. Liam didn't really need to get upset with it going to her sister. But, I would cut ties without another word & move on if I bought a house for my toxic parents & ended up struggling.
Interesting take on the gift situation. Do you think cutting ties completely is always the healthiest choice, though? It sounds like Liam has some genuine feelings of hurt here, even if his reaction may be a bit extreme. What would be the best way to resolve that tension, in your opinion?
Ramshackle bank loan arrangements, madness. Is Liam in business? Fool! He should have taken out the bank mortgage in his name, kept title to the house, paid directly to bank.
Parents are supposed to treat their children equally; leaving everything to your brother must have hurt deeply. Did your words finally get through to her???
This golden child nonsense never ends well. Good on you for speaking up, did she even try to justify her favoritism???
Favoritism ruins families, and your mom’s actions prove it. Standing up for yourself is so important, she needed to hear the truth...

It’s so unfair that she left everything to your brother. I hope whatever you said made her reconsider how she’s treated you over the years...

It must’ve taken courage to finally tell her how much her actions hurt you. Hopefully, it was a wake-up call for her...
Wow! Talk about mind control!
Move out and then pay them for the schooling, and block them.

If Sarah is planning a baby, presumably there's a husband also getting a free house.
