I discovered Hummel, one night long ago, among a crowd of 'aficionados" who swore the world began with Mozart and ended with Beethoven. Then some wit lit up a pipe of hashish, passed it around, saying "You think so? Well wait until you hear this !" It is almost 50 years later: the hashish period is Long Ago...but (sigh) without it I love Hummel still. Thank you KuhlsuDifeng2 for the pristine recording.
Wonderful composition from a great Slovak composer! All instruments blend beautifully and are employed with elegance, love the slow 2. mov'nt most, beautiful!
