    i've been there probably a dozen times now and it gets more gorgeous. there really is nothing like waking up in the rain forest, particularly when its raining!

      Cannot agree more! The rain hit our eco tent with thunderous force. Then 10 mins later it stopped and the Forest came alive with life and noise. Really such a treat! Have you been to San Blas also?

    We flew but met some folks we met on our trip did the night bus and said they'd wish they paid for the flight. I guess I'll have to try the bus next time to see if they were exaggerating. Starfish , by the way is great but if you walk just around the corner , along the path that leads back to boca del Drago, there is a bay that is the stuff of postcards. Great vid !

    • @YearOfTravel
      @YearOfTravel  5 років тому

      Thanks so much for the tip! We appreciate it! And the bus ride was just fine. We're not back packers but I imagine most viewers are. I personally only met people who took the bus. Guess it depends on budget. Since we are traveling for a year we had the time to spend on a bus. You'll be fine if you try it out next time. :-)

      @Joe Bloggs haha sounds like you've got great tastes in music! Glad you liked it. The humidity was very pleasant in February. We're in Thailand right now and it's far worse! :-) thanks for the comments and for connecting. Wish we could make it to Scotland. That'll have to be another trip

    Spend time in both countries years ago. Panama 's beaches are more beautiful and more affordable . We found that people are less friendly though than in CR . Costa Rica is the most expensive country in Central America but I enjoyed it more than Panama.

    Costa Rica is an entire country, Bocas del Tro is just a place of Panáma and it looks really similiar actually, noce video, silly comparison.

    • @YearOfTravel
      @YearOfTravel  2 роки тому

      Of course that would be silly. You may have missed the part where we mentioned San Blas. San blas deserved its own video.

    Just to clarify, when the bus stops in Almirante from Panama City, where do you go for the boat to Bocas.

    • @YearOfTravel
      @YearOfTravel  2 роки тому

      Sounds like you have a trip planned! It's been a few years but I believe the ferry port is called Ferry Palanga. They dropped us there specifically to get the boats to bocas. Please double check with the driver or locals though as things may have changed. Enjoy your trip!!

    • @guyr37
      @guyr37 Рік тому

      if you take the bus, your ticket is to Bocus, it is just a transfer to a boat, already arranged, you just get on ..

      A día de hoy, en Bocas Del Toro (Almirante) es gratis el viaje en Ferry.
      Creo que en las lanchas no sale tan conveniente porque el pasaje es algo elevado.
      Aunque si es lo que prefieren, pueden tomarlas, y llegan preguntando al taxista que los guíe.
      Soy de Almirante y lo digo por experiencia, saludos

    Remember you get what you pay for , its cheaper but infrastructure is absent good if you dont mind a Hammick on the beach but if your looking for more to do Costa Rica is way better. Oh and give it sometime Panama will go the way of Hawaii, Costa Rica Americans will run it to the ground sooner or later.
