My favourite in an album where the singing is, not surprisingly, generally high class and the interpretations pure and sincere. If this can't make you want to listen to classical music, nothing else will! :D
I put this in my "classical and prog" playlist with Faure himself playing his piece on piano and "The Sweetest Kiss", which is based on the same piece.
Nicely done. I am a huge Annie Haslam fan and have followed her since Renaissance days. I hate to be a nitpicker, but Illusion was one of two albums done by the "original" Renaissance (spawned from the Yardbirds). They released two albums, which were very good, but never achieved the success Annie's Renaissance band did. The photos you have in this video from Illusion and that band depict Jane Relf, who was the female lead in that band, who does appear similar to Annie. (From an old prog rocker)

This is a beautiful album! A major rebound for her after "Camera Camera" and "Time-Line".
