I'd say go for it if you're way out in the middle of nowhere, but otherwise stick to the rational limits!

Depending on the country you live in the drone's software will limit your max height according to it's laws, for the most part. I live in the US and have a 400' (122m) max height limit dictated by the FAA but my drone can go up to 250m. There are different laws for every area especially if you fly commercially like in a business. There are software hacks that can remove these preset limits but it's not recommended for obvious reasons.

Thank you very much indeed I had only this software on Hubsan and I could not change the values. With the explanatory text that I translated in French its very easy, I just changed the value to 0 for my update 1.1.21 which works very well, I do not want the 1.1.22 my drone had bug and j I looked carefully if the other values are well corrected compared to the original, one's never. There is no wind I will test it up to 300m see if the gps works and especially that it is more height limit thank you.

Nessun stallo.... è un pò ballerino perchè scendendo entra nel vortice che creano le sue eliche ma se per caso tende a cedere basta dargli un pò di gas e si autolivella.

It's kind of stupid elnabling rth at that altitude. Just turn of the engines and when it comes 100m above the ground turn them on so it can stablilize itself.

Quick search and I can't find any reports of a drone bringing a plane down, on the other hand I see plenty of reports about bird strikes and drunk drugged up pilots.
When someone is inside a plane that gets hit by a drone then lest see all the "stfu" comments, we don't need licences yet.... Till someone tries this and wipes out a plane or crashes into someone and kills them, best pilots in the world can't do nothing if they have a blow out at "700m"

My 501S only can get to 253 meters high. Why does yours go higher? What did you do to it?
Hello, with standard controler 300m max, but with the pro controler up to 500m (but some test say you can reach 800m and more)
There is a software limit of 250m. You need to change the parameters on a pc to exceed that.

I also read that the altitude limit is only active in GPS hold mode. Did you have GPS hold off for the assent?

No don't do this. i tried it at 60m and it turned upside down as i armed the motors. i broke 3 props and an arm :(
Hubsan Flyer I am positive it should turn back into its normal position when you start the motors. But if you say so...
In GPS mode if you disarm motors and it turns upside down you won't be able to re arm motors, as it will say sensor error
