The item health specifically was probably meant to nerf the item for champions with insanely high base health, or who have their own health stacking mechanics such as cho, sion and the % buff from Ornn. Not to make the champions weaker, per say, just to keep them from scaling rapidly out of control. Just so happens to benefit pike who has a reverse health scaling passive
Yeah let's make Cho feel even worse to play.
idk having to rush Heartsteel mythic feels trash compared to getting to pick your items and not having a huge forced synergy with it
What do you mean by pyke having a reverse scaling?
@@mask9127 technically not “reverse” but Pyke in a vacuum gets worse when converting gold / rune slots / whatever resource to HP due to the opportunity cost of simply getting an equivalent amount of AD which would be higher than the rate of his passive.
so if the AD champ building AD is a foregone conclusion, building HP would eat into his AD by taking the money that’d be spent on that stat.

You want Archangel's first, because Cass is so mana hungry.
Gauntlet might work, because with E you'll proc it often.
Heartsteel will easily proc because you're ranged and fast. For the same reason Rylai's will be excellent for kiting, just like bruiser Ashe.
Spirit Visage synergizes with your E healing and Seraph's shielding.

The one big problem with this build, is that to stack the heartsteel, you need to stay close to then enemy for a length of time. To do that you need survivablity. Normally heartsteel provides that, but not for pike. So for this to work well against good teams, I think there needs to be suvivability in the build. Either armor, MR, shields, lifesteal. The heartsteel is going to stack AD infinitely anyways, so I think more tank items in the build would be more interesting. I think maybe thornmail or dead man's against AD heavy teams. Maybe spirit visage against heavy AP. Jak'sho or athema's are generically good. Maybe not full tank build, but I think some would make it more interesting.

Jaksho, force of nature and deadman’s? Not only do you have both armour and mr, you also get a LOT of move speed, and dead man’s damage scales off your ad
OR just go edge of night, it has hp, lethality and ad, and provides a spell shield for heartsteel stacks

This was something I messed with and it works. Doesn't give him bonus HP but helps with HP regen and AD stacking. Surprised more people arent doing it.

You wouldn’t get any extra item hp, honestly I think just going an extra hp item would stack ad faster via the increased heartsteel scaling
If you want a lethality item in the build I think edge of night is the way to go, it has item hp

I’ve been playing this in aram since heartsteel came out
So I counted what each heart steel stack gave and at the end of the match you got 65 ad from the stacks alone.
You can just divide the number shown on heartsteal (976) by 14. And doing this you’ll find it actually gave 69.7 extra AD at the end
Now imagine a Pyke with heartsteal and hubris
worse stacking than just heartsteel and a bruiser item

You should redo this with Hubris and gathering storm. See how high you can max pykes ad xD
as someone who runs this build over the assassin build. stridebreaker is a better tiamat item than titanic
Go tank shaco. It's easier to stack Hearstill cause it doesnt show the indicator to the enemies now. Does a lot of damage too depending on what you build
lol, I started playing Pyke Heart Steel long time ago, before it was nerfed XD
So. Wukong's E has decent ap scaling. Perhaps playable mid with a build with lichbane, nashors and perhaps riftmaker?
One known chineese or korean chall is playing wu that way. But he relied on ludens, so afther cuting off item cdr throu damage procs with what ap wu could proc 2 -3 times that item pasive per fight no wis dead slot.

for whatever reason pyke either isn't revealed by ignite or heals through it
Ignite only "reveals" the target, but doesn't break camouflage like pyke's W. The eyes above his head don't necessarily mean the enemies can see him, which can get confusing since both reveal and true sight (which WOULD make him visible) use the same indicator.

The bug with pyke is heart steel stacks scale off health, pyke at lv 18 can not gain more hp so the amount of hp given by heart should stay the same but for some reason it keeps going up as if pyke is gaining hp

Man I wanted you to have a good lane but that Talon is Iron at best. Bro has no lock down and sought to try to out scale Pyke knowing damn well how slippery he can be. He also just continued aggression when behind instead of cutting loses and roaming like Talon should at 6.

The problem with Pyke is : His abilities scale off LETHALITY. If you don't build items with this stat , you will be utterly useless. I get that this is a fun build or something , but it's simply not good + your teammates will flame you for it .
yes and no, did the math, this build has a higher execute threshold until 4 items, the only ability that is worse is his W (e does more damage, stun is shorter)

Start an attack speed series, on champs that you normally wouldn't . Like your morde video, pkye with 3.0 attack speed is funny, same with nasus. Some champs it's just to watch then swing far faster than you would ever expect.

Build's cool and all but Pyke's Lethality Scaling is a lot stronger than Heartsteel will be, I know it's just a meme build but just saying lol
Heartsteel has always worked and given him ad, the hp from items has also always increased the stacks b
Heartsteel gives I played a practice tool last season to see how it’d work and yeah.
The problem was that Heartsteel would take your total hp and give you a percent of that for each stack, a slight problem for pyke because his hp never actually increases because of his passive. Now that it only looks at item hp (a nerf for champs like sion or cho) it doesnt matter that his health never increases because the items still give HP, meaning that as you get more items each proc of heartsteel will give you more hp and do more dmg. In comparison to before when it would always give you the same amount of health and do the same amount of dmg because pykes passive never let him gain HP.
Titanic Hydra gives a ton of damage on Pyke and a smooth aa reset, not to mention the improved waveclear
The issue is it scales with *actual* health, which is turned into ad for pyke. Meaning titanic can’t scale and does almost no damage with its abilities
The reason this works for heartsteel is because in season 14 it was changed to scale with the health of the items you have, not the health of your champion
