He is without a doubt the best player I ever saw. It is not even close. Players are not more skilled nor capable at all. They are hampered by tactics and the need to play in a certain system. But in the time of Maradona the players were hampered by defenders that could do everything they liked and almost never get even booked. There are many many more far more impressive video's. You do not see his excellent freekicks, even a goal directly from a corner, his unelievable passing over 50-60 metres, control over the ball on incredibly poor pitches, the many many clips where he is kicked to the ground but does not roll over like a crybaby but is unbelivably quick to get up and going and the many many ways he just wrongfoots opponents.
