It’s so great to see you again! Your videos have helped my rocketry journey immensely! Thanks to you and a few others, I’m almost done building my L1 cert rocket, a Cherokee H!!!
Pretty cool. I just started exploring and launching model rockets with my son. Trying to find a way to maybe build our own one day. Thanks for the insight.
The Aerobee is one of my favorites. This is great to see you doing one. Sounding rockets are the best to do.I like how you did the Boat Tail. Are you going to do a Part Two?
@@JohnLCoker No,you did a great tutorial .I thought maybe if you assemble it you may show the finished rocket. The Aerobee series were a great mile stone in rocket design and research. I have 3 in Mid Power 29mm and 2 in 18mm. It is a cool looking rocket. I hope you get to fly it.
3D printing works well. The forces on model rockets typically don't exceed what can be printed easily. PLA can warp due to heat (such as being left in a hot car), but seems to be strong enough to survive flight and landing.
@@JohnLCoker Planning anymore videos? I was thinking, does everything have to be epoxy? Why not build a rocket with screws holding everything together (at least most of it)? Just a thought/challenge to see it done.

You're not dead! Glad to have you back.
I was waiting very long to see a new video of you. Great to have you back.

Ha finally you uploaded!
I was waiting for so long
Finally you are back!
I do not want to be rude but we don’t have a CNC machine 😭😢🥺
This is badass!
what if i made a rocket out of cardboard, foam, and plastic bottles?
When you make it, let us know.

I hadn't planned on it. Once the parts are fabricated, it goes together like any kit. Is there something else you think should be covered?

@@aerobee58 Which rocket are you referring to?
@@JohnLCoker the aerobee.
The Michelangelo of rocket building is back
Is that a laser plywood cutter machine behind you ??
No, but I do have a CNC router.

Is there a way to make nosecones? If yes, how can I?

@@JohnLCoker just one problem, I don’t have a 3D printer haha
@@JohnLCoker thanks for the information!
Where did u get that nose cone
Estes sells various parts for scratch building. Their nose cones: estesrockets.com/product-category/accessories-parts/nose-cones/
Which did you use motor ?
Here's a video on choosing motors for your rockets (whether kit or scratch-built): ua-cam.com/video/Ftne_QUHlEI/v-deo.html
Is that a nautilus watch you have ??
Does anyone know where I could find dimensions of the up aerospace space loft xl sounding rocket
Who is the auhtor of the boos youre mention ... "rockets of the world"? thx
Peter Alway, unfortunately it's out of print.

@@Alby_VA Not on model rockets, but people do build larger rockets that bolt together.
Please make a video about how do
rounded nose cones (in a cheap way)
I'm not sure what a "dk rounded" nose cone is, but likely 3D printing is the best option for model rocket parts like this.

Would you have pdf of fin template?
Yes, various files are on my web site: jcrocket.com/mr-scratch-building.shtml
You need more videos @John
I literally use a rolled up piece of paper and a razor to cut my tube
Heck with a cutting guide lol
Same, worked great
