Portal will never beat the Magnum Leisure Centre. I only went to the Magnum twice before it closed in 2016. It was a missed opportunity for R.E.M., Nirvana, Pantera, the Smashing Pumpkins, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Mike + the Mechanics, Bee Gees, Motörhead, Whitesnake, Aerosmith, Saxon, The B-52’s, Billy Joel, Rick Astley, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, George Harrison, John Lennon, Bob Marley, Fleetwood Mac, Mariah Carey, Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie McVie, Christine McVie, Def Leppard, Judas Priest, Ringo Starr, Kenny Loggins, Will Smith and Paul McCartney.
Honestly the memories in this place I mad😢 infact looking at pictures makes it feel like a nostalgic liminal space.
I know it isn't in the video, but especially that wee play area down the stairs you could see into from one of the above windows
