Keep us updated on how long it lasts!
I’ve actually used the structure gel to extend and quite liked it. Though, I will add, it was kind of hard to remove. Since it’s so flexible, almost rubbery it tends to heat up easily with an e-file but at the same time it was very difficult to soak off. To be fair, I had them pretty long and so I really needed to file them down due to the higher apex for the length and it was a hassle BUT it was cool that they were flexible/didn’t really break. What was cool was I was able to bend it upward at like a 90° angle and it bent back into shape. Despite being flexible it’s actually very durable. Like tough rubber, it’s interesting lol
I have the same issue. I tried it but I hate filing it (and soaking off is even worse). If there is a lifting or a pocket it's hard to remove it because the product almost like "catches". hmmmm..... I'm currently testing 1 Step from Gelousy. Also soak off.
very interesting!! I did notice how flexible it was as i was taking laundry out of the dryer. i agree, its really cool how durable it is considering its flexibility.
Thanks for finding out, I think it's cool that you tried and didn't even know if it would work.
Love this video! Thought about it, but never tried it! Looking forward to the final update! (Watching from Belgium!)
I've tried this with the clear and I'm amazed at how hard it cures! It's a great alternative to acrylic. Now to see how long it lasts!
I’ve been waiting to see someone try this bc I’m curious if it really works. I use gelish structure gel every time I do gel polish on my nails bc they’re so thin, I love this stuff & gelish is genius for inventing this it! Ty for all your structure gel videos.
Great video. Thank you. What forms are you using? I just put structure on the primed nail. I use off brand primer and then 2 structures w/ no form just to get some strength and grow the nail but would love to have some length
What file grit do you use?
Tip, take a shot . . . Tip, take a shot . . . (Legal Adults Only) LMAO.
I wonder if i can use this with the apres tips 🤔
I have absolutely no idea! I have never used the apres system. It can't hurt to give it a shot if you have the tips. I'm having a feeling it may be too thin but we wont knot unless we try!
keep me updated if you try it!
Sorry, I got a bit confused, you did all of this with just the structure gel? What is a slip layer?
Can you pinch the structure gel? My nails flair SO BAD and are actually warped on top of that problem so there's really no "c" and I'm trying to correct that without filing the sidewalls.
I havent tried. but I would assume so. either right after curing when they are still warm or cure a little less time, pinch and continue pinching. Im gonna give it a go and see what happens.
@@TonjaWatts I just got mine in the mail I hope I find time to try it out. I trimmed off all my natural nails save my thumbs. I'm worried tips won't fit them so I want to overlay those ASAP
I tried for my first time but my two nails already broke. When I apply the form is it under the nail and side walls?
What LED lamp do you use. I know each company suggests their own but gelish lamps are expensive.
I’ve used many different lamps at many price points and haven’t had a problem with any of them!
Do you think you’d be able to try this with tips? Pleasee
I dont usually use tips. but when I get some that I dont hate. I will certainly give it a shot!
this technique is crazy. I love it.
