Omggg! I'm so happy for u guys, I absolutely loved Costa Rica and felt amazing there, definitely understand you guys! Best of luck and can't wait to see future vlogs 😍
Shells are formed by animals (mollusks and snails). They have some sort of layer of tissue that form the shell by using proteins and a matrix of bone. By the way you may want to travel once in a while to the GAM (Central area), you might find more stuff that you would find in the beach side. There are several Costco like places called PriceSmart
Life is to be lived!! Some of us tend to make bolder moves or to experiment more in life and that's ok! What a wonderful thing you as a family wanted to try this out and have the means to do it! Very inspirational! xxx love from Portugal
As a Costa Rican is kind of difficult to watch videos of foreign people moving to this country, because it is inevitably generating a process of gentrification. Most local people's salaries are definitely not high enough for living in a house like yours or even being able to sustain the cost of living in Nosara, so it's probably not a surprise to mainly meet foreign people in those touristic places. Costa Rican government is just reinforcing and giving facilities to foreign people to stay here, because you bring money to the country, but who is actually receiving that money? Who is actually benefitting from it? Definitely not local people! There is nothing I can actually do about it, nor many of the people in my surroundings. All I would suggest is to be mindful of your impact in the place where you live, to support local producers, to learn and speak Spanish, to help local organizations, to teach your children not to extract things from their habitat, to meet local (Costa Rican) people and to learn from the our culture from the people who has inherited through generations. Cultural mixture can be definitely a benefit for a place, but only if all people are actually having fair and respectful relationships. And if we are all mindful of our impact in our surroundings. Hope you enjoy your time in your new home and best wishes for your kids!
This is so inspiring! Me,my husband and our toddler moved from Edinburgh to Thailand six months ago for work and I’ve kept trying to pick up a camera and document it (hard with a crazy toddler as you know) if only for the memories and to show our friends and family. You’ll all love looking back on these. Good luck 🥰
@@LilyCastle-u2h I live in San Jose. It's central to so many activities, public transportation and shopping and restaurants. I live in El Carmen Guadalupe and it's been perfect for our kids. I also really like Sabanilla and San Pedro which are close by. And Moravia. I love Curridabat as well.
I will look forward to the dog video because me and my family are thinking of maybe moving to Costa Rica for a few years so not permanently. But we have a 7 month old Aussie and I'm worried about the process to get him there. Thank you for sharing your experience. The pool looks amazing 😍
Really missed your vlogs. Looking forward to whatever you're willing to share with us here, Carly! Happy you, your family and Steve made it to Costa Rica safely.
Amazing what an incredible way of life. Should be so proud of yourself. I have a French Bulldog, Coco who is 4, could never leave her 💕 part of the family xx
What a gorgeous home! Loved the tour, it just radiants chilled vibes and seeing the lovely greenery right outside your home! Hope you're all settling in well and looking forward to more life in Costa Rica vlogs😁
I love this move for you!! Congratulations Carly. This is so exciting. I plan on doing something similar when I have children, it would be great for the first 5/6 years to be somewhere like Bali. I think having children grow up in different cultures and climates is so good for them. Cant wait to see the journey.
I've been following you for about 9 years now and I got so excited about your move, just like I would for a friend! I am myself moving to different city soon and seeing you so happy with your decision gives me courage. You're glowing and I can't wait for what's to come! xxx lots of love from Germany
We moved from Europe to Florida with a 6month old and a 2 year old and it's been the best. It's super challenging some days, but I'm glad we did it and we can always go back. It's best to keep brastmilk in the back of the fridge and not in the door. The temperature is much more stable in the back
There are good schools too. It's getting so expensive here. If they wait until retirement, they probably won't be able to afford it by then. I am 60, and I wish I had moved to CR ten or 20 years ago.
How beautiful!! So happy for you all! We LOVED Costa Rica. Went for our honeymoon last year and we already want to go back 💚
It's such a beautiful place 🧡

would you consider selling your UK home to release the cash to buy there? Or is that too risky?
Does Jax want to swap bedrooms 😭😍😍oh to wake up to that! I hope I’m as bold as you some day!

The practicalities that’s what I’m struggling with ie shipping items, storage at home, insurance etc. We plan to move to Malaysia
I found Facebook forums of other expats / immigrants in the country you are moving to.

Beautiful spot- I spent 3 months there in that very town :) Enjoy!
Ah how amazing xxx
Selfish parents.. schools for children are horrible. Move when you are retired

we’ve only found incredible schools xx
This is my plan in the coming years. I love CR. Trying to figure out the cost just for me.
