That is the same engine I had as a kid. It had the rubber bands too. It came with sewing machine oil to use a couple🎉 drops into the stack for smoke. My hobby shop sells different smelling smoke for the engines. That's cool.
Great video Ed love the train you need the rubber bands on the trains wheels for traction regarding your smoke simulation you can buy mineral oil also known as paraffin oil i have used it in the past you can also add a fragrance to it if you wish and thank you for the mention 👍🎄🎅
The metal bodied loco's are so much better than the plastic crap they make now! You should be able to replace all of those bands with minimal work, definitely helps with traction issues! I got that scented train smoke, some pine stuff! Smells so much nicer! LOL! I should be getting my train around the Christmas tree this week hopefully!
