- Fatima Korok became the first Hungarian to hold a world record on the fifth day of the much lauded #vb2023. With a dive to 102m in the freediving discipline of free immersion Fatima also garnered her very first world record for herself. Watch as the beautiful young woman makes history.

Maybe there are oxygen tanks at the other divers whose job is to check her journey? I mean, it must have some kind of safety backup, right?

Fatima Korok bested the previous world record set by Italy's Alessia Zecchini who dived 101 metres deep in 2021. So probably the organizers know better ..

okay! I googled it! that’s another stupid feminist propaganda where the reasoning is that the first woman ever… whereas there are no consistent records of the achievements of these divers some stating it to be 123 meters while others say 101-102!

Nice, but Free Immersion is the easiest discipline and not so spectacular and breathtaking. Just compare it to CNF, where diver is not allowed to pull the rope in order to descent/ascend - just pure muscles. Btw, a new world record in CNF was set by Kateryna Sadurska from Ukraine.
Wow.....103 down 103 back 206m next time you go to your swimming olympic pool take a breath and swim as far as you can underwater this lady just did over 4 laps underwater with immense pressure on her lungs amazing..😅

That was amazing to watch! What did taking the nose thing off have to do with her finishing? I'm also amazed at the people who swam down with fins on and no oxygen tanks just to watch and support her climb back up. This is amazing!! Congratulations!!🎉🎉
She has 15 seconds to carry out the protocol: take off the nose clip, show the OK sign as say "i am okay". If she cannot finish this within 15 seconds, the attempt would have been disqualified. A huge save at the end, her time was almost up. :)
@whenghork Wow! Thank you for letting me know. I don't know how I stumbled on these deep dives but I am hooked and watch them everyday. I just don't understand it all, but I still love to see the commitment and dedication that these humans have made!
@@whenghorkwhy disqualify? Is it that to show they’re conscious? I don’t know anything about diving but I would think if they made it back up then all is good? Can they still be back up head out of the water and still be in trouble?
@@loadsledyes if they aren't concious then they will get a ref flag and the dive will not count
