Glad you brought up the tires I have a 2020 and I found out the hard way how bad they are, In about 2 inches is snow I was going sideways at not even half throttle.
@@ObserveJeremiah All summer tires need to be warmed up before they start gripping. They might not be the best, but they do what they are made to do in the right conditions.
I got rid of my STI too but not because of kids but more so just getting older. I wanted something very similar to the STI but more mature so I traded it in for a Audi RS3 but the STI is certainly a fun car 👌
@@ObserveJeremiah At the time I got my STI the low profile wing wasn't an option on the limited and I feel if I had no wing on it, I'd probably would have held on to it longer lol but I just got annoyed with everyone from teens in their jalopies to grown adults in old beat up rams trying to start a race 😅 I just got tired of it, but I did enjoy it a lot. Our neighbor has an outback they're really nice, If my family was bigger I'd consider one. My wife has a crosstrek and I like to drive it alot lol.
I'm surprised how much I as an IT guy know about STI and I own the car just for more than a year. to compare any car today with the STI is stupid, this is a rally car... is a good performance car but it is a Rally car.... in the end. the only car you can compare it with is EVO nothing else. but thx to Facebook everyone is a writer today and thx to youtube everyone is a car expert today...
I'm awaiting my delivery of a 2018 over here in West Virginia. I'm downsizing from a 2016 tahoe because of the used car values right now. I think I'll like it. But we won't use it for kids at all.
So I got a 2019 subaru wrx base model. I got 27k miles on it and they offered me 23k for it and I paid 27k for it. I got offered a base 2021 sti for 37,900$. Would you say that's a solid deal? Also the base and premium wrx have halogen headlights not LEDs 😔
I’m about to have a baby but I really want this car!
It can work especially if you have another larger vehicle. I gave mine up to cut cost for savings and less debt.
I have 2 car seats in my Sti, and my wife and I are both over 6ft we fit fine.

They are summer tires. They are good, if you use them in the summer
@@26pak north east problems, should offer all seasons for the north
The stock summer tires on car are worthless when temps drop below 50F.

Agree 100 percent. Sti is fun but stupid in 2021. I settled for a outback xt which is just as fast as Sti or close. Just handles like garbage.

No clue what that means.
Those 19” wheels makes it seem like it’s sitting up way to high to my liking! 🤦🏻♂️
Think the seat height does that. I’m not a fan of the stock rims though. Wayyyy to heavy for how much this car cost.
@@ObserveJeremiah agreeed! I loved the 18” BBS wheels!

Sounds like a good plan. Loved the car, it just didn’t work for us.
I have a 2018 STI as daily driver and it’s the family car. I only have one kid tho lol she loves it.
Weird how the prices of these used just keep going up. Very expensive for what you get in the car 🤦♂️
For me its worth the cost. Was hard to justify the daily ownership cost. With gas going up and up premium fuel alone is getting very expensive.

We paid around $36000 for our STI. New models coming soon so I would not buy a STI currently. Thats just my opinion though.
Sad to see the car go. Question, did you add any of the protection plans or extended warranty that subaru offered?
Nope. Always pay our cars off before warranty ends. Then use that money for repairs down the road.
87 octane gas i use 91 bro
?? Isn’t 93 recommended. That’s what I was using.
@@ObserveJeremiah wish we had 93 im in cali best we got is 91
Gotcha. 93 is easy to find in Ohio. Some stations only carry 91 and still charge 93 prices.
@@ObserveJeremiah but i donr think the sti uses 87
It doesn’t which is why I ran 93.
Can’t hear shit u say
