As most people feel that he has been very unfortunate by not getting the right exposure, I am of the opinion that, Chandan Dass has carved a niche for himself amongst a select section of the society in various metros and towns all over India. Since then I have been listening to this from my prize collections, and for the past few years on you tube. Every time I hear this gazal I get great pleasure and am never going to have enough of this melody. I wonder why Chandan Daas did not flourish in the Gazal arena for longer time. Does he still sing gazals. Anyone has his recent albums? I love the wordings in this gazal. Even made a translation in Marathi. ".....
