@@noahp9143 Doesn't matter.. when you're going 100 mph everything is a straight drop because your momentum will send you down the entire mountain. Btw Pikes peak from base to summit is 7800 feet.

I just got my L Version of the Bike two Weeks ago and it is such a Beast, even with just 35 kW and the Sound of the Acrapovic is Insane. The Bike just does not like going slow or holding a certain Speed. It is poking you all the Time and says: "go faster, pull the Throttle, give me speed" Just great.
I just rode that road at end of May and my ol sport tourer was fun, but no cars and a real bike that corners... just amazing how daring this guy rides cause the top is truly freaky of this road at speed!

It would be nice to know which tires were used. The more I see it the more I'm falling in love with this bike but I don't know if changing to that from my current 2003 CBR900RR might be a bit disappointing, my CBR has 50% more power (150bhp) with the same weight (170 kg dry). I wonder, on one hand there remain very few places I can enjoy the CBR besides a racetrack so I'm feeling I'm underusing it and a Duke 790 might be more fun for real life daily use, but I worry that I may feel too little power and miss the high revving, the punch and the amazing chassis and brakes of the CBR. The shifting between 1st and 2nd seems not to be smooth, the bike coughs when revved up in 1st and stutters when shifting into 2nd. They should look into it. For the rest it's a very attractive bike, I wish Honda would make something fun like this, they have become too "politically correct" with boring, cheap bikes (unless you spend a lot in a CBR, which is damn fast but not such fun).
His run with the 1290 was cleaner, but props for the super effort here. My stomach still gets a knot watching this. Wonder what tires they run? Suspension is non-adjustable in front of the 790, wonder if they installed cartridges...
I should be receiving mine within a week. It will have the Akropovik silencer and factory tank bag installed by the dealer. 120 MPH in 5th gear! Stock! What a fantastic motorcycle.

It's MPH. The Bike does not top out at 140 KMPH. It can go about 200KMPH

Jared K the mountain might be 1k feet tall but I’ve driven up pikes peek casually and there’s no 1000 foot + drops except maybe at the peek.

Someone did a top speed test on this bike on the Auto bond and it did 151 MPH (244 KPH) completely stock.. He's definitely in MPH.. Awesome video!
