As a businessman and a public speaker for over 30 years, you're firing on all cylinders. Especially the points of knowing what you're worth and not comparing yourself to others. I teach my students that if they want to compete with someone, compete with yourself. Record your income and voice work and save and date them every 3 months. Whether you have been doing this for 3 months or 30 years, there is always room for improvement.

Brand new subscriber here! I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos and the information you have to give. I’m just starting my voiceover journey after 3 years of learning about the industry from many people. I look forward to the future knowledge you have to share!

New to VO and appreciate your points. Was so much easier to just record our podcasts. The whole audition thing feels like so much pressure😅.. working to make it feel more fun.. between all the work:))).. Feels like the right and natural path.. just SO much on the way to great outcome for self and clients. Whew:)!

Man, I have to thank you. My life changed quite a bit a few months ago; so much so, that I couldn’t continue working in my regular job (electrical, which I loved). Since then, I’ve been trying to get into voiceover and have been trying to seek out as much knowledge and wisdom as possible. I found your channel and have taken practical advice and wisdom you freely share. Recently, I was offered to narrate a series of audiobooks. I don’t even have a nice voice. I may or may not make much this time around but I think this job can open up better job opportunities.
    tl;dr
Thanks brother. Your morsels of savvy voice-over advice helped some random dude out and have been invaluable.

Honestly, that is exactly why I started the channel. It’s never going to be the biggest channel or make any money (I wish) but helping people is the only real reason I do it

@@CrownStagVoiceover Dude your heart is a good place. I, am not an actor and have the artistic acumen of a foot but you are one of the people that managed to bring this VO thing down to earth for me. I won’t be surprised when your channel grows and starts making a few shekels here and there. Maybe one day you could do a “Voice-over AMA” type thing with super chats. Just don’t get too big and busy because when this VO thing starts getting a bit more serious (which it already is), I might be knocking on CSVO’s digital door step and investing in a bit of coaching! haha
