But for some od reason I am being redirected to inmusic site to register there I can’t manage to do so in the akai page. Whenever I click on account it sends me to this website. Even when using Firefox or Crome same outcome. Do you know a way around or is this just me having bad luck.?
FYI, If you already own a MPC Live,X or One and you already have the software- you don't have to reinstall the software. When you open the software manager- it will say installed (if you already have it). That way you can save the newest activation code for iLock...for a rainy day...like you change laptops..etc.
The MPC Studio MK2 gets a bad rap for not so well thought out reasons. It’s a solid device that gives you much of the standalone functions without being standalone. It serves the market for app dedicated controllers. It has limitations and a price adjusted for those limitations. If represents value if you don’t mind working with a PC and software. There are things a standalone unit like the MPC One are better at but the Studio MK2 is a great option for more value focused users or people who have a MPC already but want to keep it as a standalone unit. I have the MPC One and a Studio MK2
If I find the older Mpc Studio Black or Silver or The Mpc 1000 will all 3 have a updated operating system? Because I just want to hook up my MacBook Pro Mid 2012 MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 & be able to just use Logic Pro X 10.5. Anyway advice will be appreciated Matthew & Happy New Year

im not gettin no sound i have it hooked up to my main rig with my audio interface i should be able to get sound thru that instead of using the midi in and out correct
I have a question for every mpc owner Has your mpc been very hot on the middle between the black corner of the LCD like a worry some heat not burning to the touch I don't get any lag any delay on my keys And I'm currently using 2.10 update Sad 500gb and (128gb for updates like the synth content) I JUST NOTICED THIS HEAT YESTERDAY WHEN I WAS USING IT RESTING MY HAND BETWEEN THE LCD AND THE PADS i use it 5 pm to 7 pm For a fact I know my MPC is not defective i don't let cpu take over 22% i always maintain it i don't use it charging btw
Heads-up to anyone wanting to buy the MPC Studio MK2, who might prefer Windows 7 over 10. None of the new Akai MPC updates or hardware will work with Windows 7. None of it. MPC Beats / MPC 2.8.3 are the last-working versions for Windows 7. Yes, I realize Windows 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft. But, with older Apple OSX versions, companies accommodate, and quite frequently, older OSX versions are needed to make things work at all. Don't know why it can't be the same for Windows 7. The MPC Studio MK2, even when you install the driver for it, will not work (lights, screen functions) on Windows 7. Again, heads-up. A lot of us are still rocking Win7 and have no plans on changing. Gotta return my MPC Studio MK2. Oh well.
Did you try the download link in your login and the one on the website? For the lasted frimware for the new hardware MPCs some people could get one of the links to work but not the other. www.akaipro.com/mpcstudio
It’s not so straightforward, thanks for this video, as it shows the unnecessary crap to install this software is similar to the unnecessary crap to save sequence save program & save track, activation bullshit means buy native Instruments for simple saving of your songs simple installation of soundbanks & simply search of sounds and samples. Maschine is way more fun to use, Mpc is a headache & highly over rated, it’s for computer geeks not musicians as it’s been a month that I’ve tried to install mpc studio starting with changing your operating system them it’s been agrovation to the point of return the product as it’s telling me the software is another headache waiting to happen..good luck to you mpc users that think yr onto something great as I can’t make music under stress as this video as clearly indicated
It’s one big rip off to make you think your getting something special while getting yr personal info & accounts try mpc beats free before investing in this rip off & check the crap you have to go thru to get the free version, its as if it’s set for deliberate stress to excite its buyers. Not playing that game as I wanna play music not challenge the installation as a great achievement once installed. It’s a joke, it’s wasting people’s time.
My MPC studio 2 controller doesn't connect everything is downloaded but i still only have the akai professional on screen of controller. When i go into firmware it says make was not found. Option to scan for device but nothing happens

A tutorial on setting up two controllers in MPC software and Ableton would be really helpful thanks I love all your videos very helpful

I did. When you click “view downloads” in the list after registering the product, there should be an option that says “activate mpc 2 serial code”.

I don't know much about the new M1 Pro. I might be the new MAC OS, think it is fairly new. Sometimes it takes a while for companies to catch up.

When i found the software thing looking for the activation code it told me there is no activation code left or there was an error or something

Yes, you can use your own audio interface. You can select it in the Audio Device tab of the preferences.

None of my MPCs do this. My Akai Force gets very warm on the left edge.
What laptop are you using? Do you also use it for music production?
Dell XPS 15 9500 Core i7-1070H, 16 GB Ram. Windows 10 Pro. Yes, works fine for music production.
