I went through the exact same transition as you did, with first finding the AF1 looking like bricks, than suddenly getting a sense for them. Now I am at 10 pairs in my collection. A very hyped collab, the Off White x AF1 lemonades, did that for me. My first pair were the Lv8 Split-light silver, and my latest the White Deep Royal Blue.
Bought them for 125 euro, but i eturned them. I can;t get used to the huge sole, i'm a tall guy and feel like a giant with them on, even while it's maybe just 1cm more.. I also was like, is this what i want to keep or not for too long, that made me also decide to return them, they are too expensive for a "mwah" feeling. But i'm sure for many it;'s a great shoe. I love the blue and the gummy sole. My regular size fitted great.
Blue sold faster, so I got the Green with the discount on Nike app...nice fit like the West Coast AF1 I got before

I heard the comfort isn’t any better than a regular Air Force 1.
Appreciate the review. Mos def looking forward to copping these.
I just purchased a pair. Peace and sneaker love from the United States.

Is the midsole taller than other air forces?
They need this in a mid top
