Really cute!!! You can also tear your images out rather than cutting them out. That really gives it an old shabby look too. You can do a little or a lot depending on the look you are going for.
I add to your comment, if you take a paintbrush with a little CLEAN water on it and go around the edge you want to tear on, wait a few minutes and makes the tear job easier
You are so much fun to watch. We can see someone that we can relate to and enjoy. You show us how to craft and do things so easily with high end results. I love your entertaining videos, keep being you!!
Just an FYI there is Mod Podge that you can use four dishes that you eat off of I did a Christmas glass with Tartan fabric and it is made for dishes that you eat out of and use in the dishwasher your DIY was beautiful and another little tip I don't know if it's useful or not you can use tea bags and soak the edges with it and let it dry and it'll do the same thing
Goodness Bethany these are so gorgeous! The one you crinkled up the sides reminds me of old vintage wallpaper in a beautiful victorian house. Beautiful job thanks for sharing!
Such a great job you do on anything you attempt. The lamb reminds me of pictures of me when I was a baby. There was a lamb on my baby bed that was very similar. I am 64.
I think if you have inkjet, Mod Podge makes your picture smear. But you can go to places like Staples and print your image. A squeegee tool will help smooth your picture and seal the picture edges.
Your plates look awesome it reminds me of when I was a child, we used to cut out pictures of the flower fairies created by Cicely Mary Barker. We used to stick them in scrap books, we also made cards and decoupage pictures with my grandmother.
Wow Bethany! Mucho creative ma'am. I've seen this process before but never thought applying it to this kind of DIY. Genius! Thanks and God's Blessings.
You can also do this to the back side of a clear plate then use it to eat off of. Just have to carefully wash and dry the top by hand and not get much water on the back side.
I love this so much!!!!!! You are so creative Bethany, God bless you! Also if someone doesn't have a printer they can always go to their public library and print it there, usually they only charge a couple cents 😊
Plates are so pretty. You can use a craft ink pad such as Tim Holtz vintage photo or coffee color to ink the edges of your papers before you glue down & it gives papers a very old worn look. Also you can just put your paper in a dish with coffee or tea to age it. Soak it for a few minutes then air dry.
This kinda reminds me of a cute plate that Miss Olivia did from Olivia’s Romantic home on UA-cam... but she used a greeting card.. still cute idea though!
I think I am going to try and mod podge floral fabric to the back of a clear plate and then put the images on the front so you can see the flowers through the entire plate. Thanks for the inspiration Bethany.
To tear the edges to get an old look cut it out larger than you want it to be when it's done then tear off small pieces until it has the edge you want. Tearing pulling the paper edge up will give you a border the paper color. Tearing pulling down will leave a torn edge, no border. If you do try burning edges, cut it out 1st slightly bigger than you want the finished size to be. Burn it in small amounts- light edge, blow or pinch it out with your finger tips quickly. You can always burn more but can't undue too much. Do it over the sink or bathtub so you can drop it & quickly run water on it if the flame gets out of hand. If you want to cut out a paper design with fine details you can use curved cuticle scissors. Cut slowly with the scissors blades curved AWAY from the image That way if you accidentally go too far on a cut you're not cutting into the image.
Beautiful, thanks for sharing. I will be making a couple of these. I t is a great idea. I always enjoy your videos. I will be looking forward to your next video until then please take care and God bless!
Awesome girl!! I am doing this too but on fake Easter eggs. It's hard because of the curved surface but trial and error I have made some really cute ones with tiny printouts and also pretty napkins! I used the Dollar Tree napkins with the pink flowers and bees. Turned out awesome!!! I love Home goods too. XXXX
Those are great! I've seen some bunny plates that I've wanted to buy but can't afford. But I can buy a $1 plate and print some pictures to add to them. Never thought of that idea. Thanks for sharing!
Love these plates! It is kinda crazy to pay $3.99 per plate. I have 10 people for dinner that is $40.00 just on a plate. Then the salad plate, bowl etc that would be so expensive. Your idea is a great alternative. I appreciate the inspiration. Thank you.
Bethany! Thank You!!! Love these. . . Iam a Vintage Victorian Gal! ❤❤💕 These are definitely a MUST for me! Soo Cute! Love the Lil'Lamb! You are brillant and think out of the box. . . truely appreciate your craftiness!😀 Have A Great Day. Carol
😇💚 Soooo CUTE, and just by looking at the items, you would NOT guess, these are Dollar Tree plates, and mugs { mug } 💜🐇💚🐰💜 Thank YOU for sharing your creativity 💜🐇💚🐰 LUV JOY 😊 💜🐇💚🐑💜💚🐇💜🐰💚🐑💜🐇😊
You are so amazing!!! I love all of these adorable crafts. The lamb is my absolute favorite. Hope you &your family are doing well. Thanks so much for all that you do for all of us. xoxo 😘
Bethany love the plates! FYI you can use tea bags to get that antique look. Just dab the edges with the tea bag after you make the tea.
Wow cool tip, thanks!
Love this idea Bethany! I bet we could find Easter bunny napkins to decoupage onto the plates too! Well done as usual brilliant creativity! Tfs hon x
I would never have thought to do this!! Now I have something to use my Mod Podge on. 🐰🐰

Omg I snatched those bunnies at my hobby lobby! They are too cute!
I love vintage pictures. I found vintage pictures of coffee cans and framed them. Great kitchen decor.
