3 Vinegar-Based BBQ Sauces- No Sugar, Sweet and Spicy, and White Vinegar Barbecue Sauce

  • Looking for a barbecue sauce with no tomatoes in it? You’ve got to try one of these vinegar-based BBQ sauces. In this video, I will show you how to make 3 vinegar-based BBQ sauces: one with no sugar, a sweet and spicy one, and one made with white vinegar. Give these 3 vinegar barbecue sauces a try and let us know which one you like best.
    Vinegar-based bbq sauce ingredients
    0:19 No Sugar Vinegar BBQ Sauce
    1/2 tsp Black Pepper
    1 tsp Paprika (Smoked Paprika is best)
    1 tsp Smoked Salt (I used Smoke Serrano Salt) - Amazon Link - amzn.to/3Cd1vm3

    1 tbsp Hot Sauce (I used Tabasco)
    1.5 Cups or 375ml Apple Cider Vinegar
    1:02 Sweet and Spicy Vinegar BBQ Sauce
    1/2 cup or 125g Light Brown Sugar
    1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
    1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
    1 tsp Salt
    1/8 cup or 32ml Hot Sauce (I used Texas Pete)
    1.5 cups or 375ml Apple Cider Vinegar
    1:49 White Vinegar BBQ Sauce
    1.5 tbsp Light Brown Sugar
    1.5 tsp Black Pepper
    1 tsp Salt
    1 tsp Hot Sauce (I used Tabasco)

    Here's a question for you, Johnny Mac. I visited Sugar's Ribs, a barbecue restaurant in Chattanooga. They offer several sauces and you add your own or none at all. Their Carolina vinegar sauce consists of two ingredients: red wine vinegar and red pepper (probably cayenne). It was great. If I wanted to make 8 ounces of this sauce at home, how much red pepper would you suggest adding to a cup of red wine vinegar? I have organic ingredients on hand.

      I would say 1 tsp of cayenne would do the job for 8 ounces or maybe 2 tsp or of red pepper flakes - you could always add more if it is not as hot as you like. If you store it in a jar put cover the top of the jar with plastic wrap and then put the lid on - recently came across this tip for vinegar based bbq sauces- over time the vapor eats away the metal lid - even if it has a protective covering. The plastic wrap will help protect the lid and keep it for corroding😊

    Made the no-sugar one and its still plenty sweet from the apple cider vinegar! (Super good even before marinating!) Trying to find keto friendly bbq sauces for keto/carnivore diet with minimal sugar and no artificial sweeteners. Any ideas for a mustard based bbq sauce with no added sugar?

      I would check out a keto Carolina style mustard bbq sauce recipe. There are some really good one's out there. I may hsve to put one into the mix. Thanks for watching and trying out this vinegar Base BBQ sauce👍

      @@thesauceandgravychannel I know it's not "keto" , but any thoughts on using coconut sugar over brown sugar in the recipes that do call for sugar?

    QQ: do these need to be refrigerated? I know you say 3-4 months “in the fridge” but it doesn’t seem like any of these ingredients need to be refrigerated separately…thanks!
