Episode 15 - Hannibal, MO
• Hannibal, MO - Mississ...
Thank you for your positive comments about St. Louis, my hometown!
Pappy’s started a bbq revival in StL that includes Adam’s, Bogart’s, Sugarfire, and the Beast, among others.
I hope that you visited some of the bars or restaurants in the Soulard neighborhood where the AnheuserBusch brewery is located. When Least Heat Moon completed his epic journey that resulted in his travel log “”River-Horse” which was a follow up to “Blue Highways”, he docked his boat at the foot of Sidney St., which locals call Soulard Beach. It’s not a formal marina, but locals would have been happy to accommodate you.
Having run the 3100 Mile Race I know what it means to reach "the half way mark".
Nobody will understand except he did something similar. I celabrate with you!
I guess at that point you thought "I hope it's over soon!" and "I hope this trip will never end!" at the same time, not knowing which feeling was stronger.
Love your journey and the fantastic videos! Cheers from Austria!
How this series doesn't have more views i'll never know
This channel really is one of the best out there on youtube! really enjoy your videos, thanks a lot for making them!
Great place, great memories. Miss St.Louis.
Greetings from Mongolia~
Congrats on reaching the half way mark!
Never been up the arch, but, my dad and my best friend has!
Very cool. What a mission. I cant imagine thee amount of planning you had to do. What a job. Looking forward to the next!
I always thought the arch was thin and I didn't know you could go in it to the top! Awesome!
You're only half way?! That's awesome, I'm not ready for these videos to end yet :)
I LOVE this channel!... I find this videos very inspirational! Awesome job guys, keep on!
You know what I've noticed, that your videos have the least dislikes of any popular videos I have seen. Means you're doing something right lol I really enjoy your videos especially when I'm tired of work from school!
Seeing you eat that Pappy's food made me hungry! I live in Bemidji! We have a new BBQ place since you guys were here; just opened a couple months ago. I guess it's a franchise (I'd never heard of it before) but it is very yummy nonetheless. You guys would like it although I'm glad you went to Dave's Pizza when you were here! Anyway, that girl you got to say, "Welcome to Pappy's," was a very nice touch!
loved the day count! you get skinnier as your beard gets bigger and your tan gets darker. lol!
great now i have that song in my head xD great episode!
Great episode. Loved the quick replay of the days. You really should have taken a sharpie to that eye patch and drawn a skull and cross bones on it.
Downtown St.Louis, there's the Arch and the mighty Miss. The old Miss the old man.
I from St.Louis and I love it.
I can't figure out if the best part of the video was the R. Kelly rendition or the adjust "Take me out to the ball game" 7th inning stretch song. Either way... great video and I'm rooting for Dan to finish off the ballparks. Next trip - inTransit: Dan's finial ballparks.
You guys are amazing! Living the dream like no other :)
keep it up Peter , i like to follow your travels do those goofy outakes whenever possible. it makes it funn : ) o0

By any chance, did you experience The Chain of Rocks or did you take the diversion canal to avoid such a hazard?
I had no idea you could go inside the arc!
