📊 WHAT IS POWER BI?
Power BI is a business analytics tool by Microsoft. It creates a working environment suited for normal users, meaning tasks such as data extraction, cleansing, analysis and storytelling; these are made easily-accessible to citizen-users, and extendable for technical users. At face value it provides visually-stunning, interactive dashboards, but it’s built on top of so much more.

Thanks man. Great video. Solved my problem
awesome brother!! thank you
Thanks for this helpful video.
You're welcome!
Thank you so much
Is there no option to browse to the new file location as the value for the parameter when you open the template?
Thanks for the video Fernan. Can you please add UK file in the demo files.
Hi Fernan, thank you for this nice video. I have created my template and now I want to insert it in an existing report. The problem is when I clic on import a template, power bi open a new project. I could not figure out how to open my template inside my existing report. Can you help me with this please?
Greetings Fernan. Thanks for this video.
I've sent you and email regarding an issue that is very similar to this video.
Hi Thanks for this, but should the data follow the same structure? And what if the US data includes more columns than the template data? Assuming the data set contains headers are identical to the templates but had those in different order and mixed with other columns which are not interested to the report? Please help?
Hi there, this assumes that both data files have the same structure (i.e. same headers, same type of data in them) otherwise it wont work
Can I add multiple data sources while creating a template??
I tried to create template and then it opened with all the data. I could not understand why. You have made it very clear in this video. Thanks
Even I was also thinking same, Great Video
Hi. Thanks for sharing this method. I have followed step by step.
However, there is an error stating 'The key didn't match any rows in the table.'
The 2 different dataset that I have is of different data, but have the same number of column with exact naming. The difference is: the responses in values are different for the columns. Example in:
Dataset1: column 1 is filled with responses like "potato"
Dataset2: column 1 is filled with responses like "egg"
Could this lead to the error if I used this method?
Any other method that I can use for the kind of dataset that I have?
I would love to receive feedback, appreciate much in advance! :)
Hi there, thanks for watching my video! This error happens usually when you have incorrect column header names. It won't be the data itself that will be the issue but the columns, so I would check to make sure your column headers are the same between the two datasets
Hi Fernan, on which e-mail can I reach you?
Keep up the good work
I do not understand what benefits come from having a template. We do not have there any pre-defined placeholders. If we want to have a pre-set font, header colors, visualization settings and so on then we need to place whole visualizations themselves. So in fact we copy one whole report to serve as a template. If would be better if we could pre-set all settings to what we want without placing visualizations. PowerBI should replace visualizations with kind of "placeholders" like [title], [logo] etc.
At first sight a though this guy is bihari
