Hey Lauren nice to meet you I’m Ash. I subbed to you from both my accounts lol (I’m also potty mouthed planter) I don’t know how to crochet anything but a blanket lol I will learn soon! Oh wow love everything you’ve made (even the derpy chicken lol) man the owls are phenomenal! I plan on doing my first handmade market soon! Eeeekkkkkk!
Hi Ash! So great to meet you! I hope your first market goes great! Once you can crochet a blanket, switching to amigurumi will be pretty easy! Just need to learn to increase and decrease really!
Hope you did well at your market. I did a craft fair the same weekend but it was 2 days and I did pretty well. I come to the conclusion that I am going to sell just amigurumi. I also sell winter hats but I haven't done well in that. I can't understand either because I am in a state (WI) that has cold winters but yet I only sold 2 hats in the 2 day craft fair. The rest were amigurumi. So that's what I am going to do. Good luck at your next market, hope you sell out.
Thank you so much!! It was a fantastic day! I hardly sell winter items so I started specializing in amigurumi as well💕 people would rather buy machine made wearables because they are cheaper unfortunately 🥺
Hi Lauren! Awesome to see another video from you. I enjoyed seeing everything you crocheted. Are all your plushies made with parfait chunky? Do you use Bernat Blanket Yarn?
Hi thank you so much for watching! 🥰🥰 I use mostly parfait chunky, sweet snuggles light and chenille home slim! I do use some Bernat blanket and premier yarn that is similar but I find Bernat blanket harder to work with and I love the softness of parfait chunky and other chenille yarn! 💕
Not sure what part of the south you're in, but do you find it hard to find local markets? I have the hardest time finding something closer than a couple hours away. We only have 3 local markets and they are all in September, and only 2 of those are any good.
I live near a pretty large city so they do quite a few things throughout the year here. Do they only have those 3 or maybe some you haven’t heard of? I am a member of our cities page on Facebook and I ask in there about when markets will be. I hope you can find some! It might be worth it to go to the ones a couple hours away if it’s a big city with a lot of foot traffic!
@@CowhideCozy those are the only 3 that I know of. I've lived here since 2012 and I've not heard of any other markets that allow vendors. Even our farmer's market only allows those who sell produce. I'll probably have to travel if I want to do more than a couple markets a year. I'll just have to acquire further licensing since those cities require more than what my county requires.
@@CowhideCozy some areas require a business license, some require both a business and a peddler's license. We just have to check with each city we want to do a market in to see what their requirements are.
those turtles are everything, i need them ❤❤❤
They are so super cute! 🥰🥰

@@simmershonna what kind of licensing do you need? My county doesn’t require anything but to turn in a tax packet at the end 😞

@@simmershonna ah makes sense! I know eventually I’ll be getting my LLC at least so I have insurance and what not if I need it!
