      @@TEKNOISTIX 10k veriable resistance use karne par bhi ye 220 vala ko kam jyada ka use nhi kar sakte kya , kam jyada ka use karne se voltage min or max me antar hoga kya ?
      Ye cuircit se kitna amp flow kra sakte hai.

    Would it still work if I replaced the step-down transformer with capacitive drop configuration? I sometimes get to repair small house appliances with powersupply problems. I'm thinking of designing small powersupplies to keep at hand so I can immediately replace that part instead of hunting down for the culprit. These powersupplies usually come in capacitive-drop form from the factory. Some of them come with zener diodes at the output in place of the regulators that you're using. I wonder what are the pros and cons for regulators and zeners? One other question is how to calculate and adjust the output power (watts) of these types of applications. Thank you!

      I don't recommend dropping capacitor for variable supply as it is low current and not stable at all

    I Micky, i am following your for a long period. Sir, i want to make this supply along with SMPS board in a AC stabilizer box ( I have a burnt stabilizer). I have 10 amp. 12-0-12 transformer but it is big to install in the box. can i give input supply of +12 and -12 from smps instead.

    Hello Sir, i made the circuit but resistance 220 ohm burnt down immediately when operayed with load. Please suggest what went wrong. Voltage is 36 v and current is 6to 8 amp. I am using 775 dc motor to control.

    Nice video, the current rating of this lm317 is 1.5a. if i use 45v 5A TRANSFORMER IS IT harmful.

      Yes it can damage the circuit
      But you can add 2n3055 transistor in the circuit for high current power supply

    Can you please clear which leg of potential meter is to connect. I m giving 12v supply but on rotation it doesn't come below 9 volt. What could be be reason

      Connect 1 and 2 pins of potentiometer together and then connect it with adjust pin
      3rd leg should be grounded

      But I connect input negative to center pin to potential meter and adjust pin to 1st pin of potential meter and 3rd pin pof potential meter remain untouched and its working. Is there any problem if I don't common 1and second pin of potential meter
