I think this was actually one of your best "guide-style" videos to date. I think your approach was very grounded in reality & reflects the process in very practical & relatable ways. It can't have been easy to figure out how to communicate such abstract concepts as sources of inspiration, but you did very well & I feel you translated these ethereal aspects of continual building in very relatable ways. Honestly, I've often wondered how much "builders block" must come up for content creators such as yourself & knew you guys must struggle with that all..of..the..time. But you did a really good job with this topic & I just thought you should know that I appreciated it & your work! Have a great day & thanks again!
Thank you! There was a point of existential dread during scripting where I went "does this even make sense?" 😂 For me, creative block is definitely a thing, but I do have a lot of suggestions to fall back on, and I usually have a decent process to work that block out
All the methods you provided are familiar to me, but still, when building in Conan/Fallout/ARC, I draw the most inspiration from materials such as your video. Yes, I notice cool ideas in games/movies/in real life, but it's only when I see you build them step by step in your instructional material that the idea for my own version comes to mind. Thx Mate.
You get to the point with this visualization... we all collect many, many impressions in everyday life, at work, after work, with hobbies, with friends... and that's exactly what we can do if we consciously let it go and trust ourselves... to express ourselves in a variety of ways... *to express impressions* ... be it with painting, with music, with pottery, with knotting or weaving - or even in-game architecture when building... Depending on our talents, perception, ability to direct our focus on something and to translate the impressions we have collected... blueprints arise in the brain... synapses / networks / connections / patterns emerge... first in the mind's eye, then through the work of hands... and then: Et voilà! Something new has emerged... and we can build on that... for the next project... yes, exactly, we project something from the brain onto the metaphorical screen. I really like your way of thinking and your perspective and your implementation of your talents and I understand you (your thought pattern) very well... [and btw. Your English is also very pleasant and understandable for me, although I don't understand English well]... in other words - you yourself, with your content, are a constant and uplifting inspiration for me (since I started playing CE - 2021 )... Thank you at this point... for sharing your talents... I'm glad I found you then 👍 ✌ cheers 🍻 (Hoffentlich hat mein Übersetzer gut funktioniert)
My favorite thing to do is copy someone elses build and then find how i can modify it to my tastes, then i can usualy experiement with that style later on. Totally havn't done trhat with a few of your builds. My current settlement started with one of your starter bases and has spiraled into a multi walled nordic fortress town.
Yep, same here - Eradicati0nn's modified builds were like 75% of my builds (while the remaining 25% were mostly builds of other content creators). And even nowadays, with me being gravely dissapointed with both the path CE went on and with Funcom's treatment, I do wonder how his builds could be transfered in other base-building games (current n1 is currently Enhrouded).
Thank you so much for the video. I know that probably 75% of my time playing Conan Exiles (currently over 2200 hours) has been spent building. I love creating new structures, castles, villages, etc. so finding new sources of inspiration is important. I did want to mention one other source of inspiration that I have found useful, but it only applies for players who use mods. Sometimes I will look at the mods on Steam and see one that adds some really unique or themed building parts or decor and that is enough to inspire me to start a new game, add a select group of mods and then build from there. Thanks again for your videos, I look forward to seeing each new one! :)
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I completely forgot about mods tbh, and I've done the exact same thing you mentioned quite a few times 😩 Thank you for watching & commenting! Plenty more videos to come
i like to try and get a cultural feeling for what i want and then look at locations after finding a place i just try to fit the landscape with the culture in mind my main base is at the crossroad hill between the slave and imperial highway and i started building a road up the hill and then the keep and build out from that part with a village and curtain walls around the castle/keep.
I watch old movies and your channel amoung others. I should have made my own building channel at this point. I always try to make realistic builds. Not everyone needs a giant castle for one person. I once spent half a year as a hobo on an official pvp server
Your vidios are the best about building in Conan, I'm temptet to build in Admin mode out cost, course you show some fantastic builds there will take months collect and make materials for me.
Like i think im pretty good at building and i just wanna build everything so whenever i go too build it i think of something else i wanna build so i just burn myself out that way😂

I recommend that exact same thing for learning too, a good start is usually 70% of the work already done

Good job 👊 all new players should see it

You’re all the inspiration I’ve ever needed 😂
Thanks! I'm glad I can inspire some people haha
Thank you
Hmmm I am inspired. never thought of the music angle. I do have a very over active imagination
Music is great, especially if you have an active imagination. It's one of my favourite tools
thank you for this!
You're welcome!
@ 8:03 How did you manage to get a wall torch on a pillar?
However, this video is quite niche in itself. It can bring something new to say to those who have never created anything before.
Haha. UA-cam is so broken. When I started this video there were 121 views and 140K up votes.
140k? I mean, I wouldn't say no 😂
Like i think im pretty good at building and i just wanna build everything so whenever i go too build it i think of something else i wanna build so i just burn myself out that way😂
i just steal your ideas.
It aint stealing if I let you have em 🤣
