    Interesting on abstract mural paintings of the 1930s. Thanks for curating on "arts as a means for creating a better society." Great topic to think about going into the new year

    Love the paintings in this show. As you stated, Stuart Davis was making art for the people, promoting cultural and social equality. It’s ironic that his beautiful mural was rejected. He seems to have taken it in stride, though. He knew his work was good!
