I am in my 78th year of Model Railroading... This is some of the finest HO scale modelling I have ever seen... It is also fascinating for those, (like me) interested in Civil War history...Scenery and staging looks extremely authentic! I could watch these videos for hours... Keep up the good work!
Thank you. I will pass on the compliments to Thom. You should look up ACWRR historical group. This is a SIG that focuses on this time period. They have monthly or so Zoom meetings.
I really like these. I know I'm going to get a lot of grief... but it would be nice if the other folks would cut the chatter while you are filming, what with all this wonderful sound installed.
Haha. Yeah I doubt that would work. All my filming was done in stolen moments in the middle of operating. I was running as a one man Train crew. Car Cards, Pocket Watch, Clipboard, Pencil, tweezers for the link and pins, DCC controller and the iPhone to film. It was a real balancing act. I was amazed to get any filming in.
Thom modifies these extensively so they run better. Also he puts a lot of work into researching the decoration. These are always tricky because of the limited pickups
I really enjoyed this video. Beautiful engines, beautiful layout. It was very encouraging. Thank you.
Yeah I completely agree Thom’s is really a beautiful layout
