No way fifa 2k can survive with just minimum licenses. They need to have all of them or it’s pretty much another PES game
For the first year if gameplay and servers are good most of us can live without the linecences for a couple years

As others have said, it’s all about the classic players. Personally, I don’t like how EA has commercialized getting these players via expensive packs etc. if 2k is able to make all time great teams,All time Brazil, Brazil 70, Brazil 94, 98, etc as they do in their basketball games for no additional charge they would doing a huge service and I imagine , grab a huge chunk of consumers who are more into football.
Best World Cup video game ever was made by EA Sports in 2010 (South Africa) for the PS3. It had every team in the world, and you could make any country play each other. Today's World Cup video games only let you play the teams that are in the World Cup tournament. I hope they make the game like they did with EA Sports.
Man if people thought EA where bad at handling fifa and ultimate team they are gonna be shocked with 2K. Even worse servers, even more money grabbing and just a terrible company overall. Just look at how bad the NBA games have been the last few years and how much they drain their customer base of money just to play the game.

NBA 2k has the worst AI gameplay, way worst than fifa, horrible servers and the worst micro-transactions by far, this is coming from a dude that plays 2K since 2k6
@@ninjaq2338 as someone who has played both FIFA and 2K for years I honestly think 2K will be worse. I don't think FIFA players realise the level of monetisation in the basketball games 2K put out. Every aspect of it is dripping in microtransactions. Even the basketball version of pro clubs takes the piss. It's like £150 worth of in game currency to have your player be at a 85 overall out of 99.
2k and ufl should have a EDIT TEAM option, so we can edit the teams in what is should be

A online career mode where you can meet other players and play against them would go hard. Even promote boots or shoes you made and other players can buy it with in game currency for your team to make money

They should just focus on national teams at the beginning. Make a game with all the world cups and the full upcoming world cup with the qualifiers. Put the latest continental championships in it too.

So Fifa should decide whom to give license of their registered team not EA. Every pro football player of this universe are registered with Fifa, they should put regulations whether other company can use their player names, clubs, uniforms, badges everything. EA is just a video game company. They are not the company that should deny FIFA (2K) the licenses, it’s the opposite. Have some foot(balls) FIFA.
But most of the teams have already signed private licensing deals with EA. At that point, FIFA can't say anything to anyone. It's up to the teams and EA if 2k will get any licenses. PES also has some licensing deals that they won't be letting go of to give to 2k.
FIFA has very little say. They can control the World Cup licensing for sure, and im positive they will market FIFA 2k26 as the only World Cup game. That should help them a lot
@@ATLMike94 FIFA made too many loopholes in their regulations, they must change it. They must imply that a player who wants to be a part of a club or a club that wants to be a part of a particular league must obey their rules and regulations, otherwise they will be banned. If they apply like this the clubs, countries, players are bound to be obedient. FIFA is way more powerful than a video game company, they must use their power.

I think most people feeling non optimistic about 2k making a Fifa game need to see the Brightside... EA has a monopoly hold over every exclusive deal for the NFL and many other sports and networks. I think EA getting competition from 2k will only make both companies work hard for the next few years to create the best game possible because of the competition factor naturally. Everyone should be hoping 2k succeeds so we get better games all around.
gotta say it can only be a good thing to have a new football game instead of the same rinse and repeat from EA.
I think since 2k did top spin games which they were looking way ahead of their time in terms of gameplay than 2k fifa gameplay will be no issue for them maybe the only problem would be with licences

In 2K, you can also download the rosters with many real players for any year going back to 1960s!! You can also set the leagues year and era for immersion! Imagine this feature in FIFA (head explodes)😂😂

PES did not lose out because of the team licenses. Rather, it was because the menus and team editing interface was very outdated. This made editing and modifications not very fun. Everything just felt dated. Also EA's manager mode remains terrible but PES was able to be even worse.
Most of all we need to be able to play with retirement players or at least be able to change the age of players like customs roster
why they can't make a game like Pes 2013 but more advanced and developed with good graphics ?
