    Best one yet IMO. Insightful and well delivered. Wish I had that setup at home as I would run down there now for 25 minutes! These vids are becoming very addictive. Looking forward to my session with you in 2 weeks time 👍

    I like your explanation on things which is refreshing and easy to grasp.
    I think a similar analogy to your pull concept would be to try and keep tension in the feel of the club head as you swing the handle through its motion. Malaska refers to it as a tug of war with the club head.
    It can only be really achieved by using your feet and allowing the upper body to go along for the ride as it transfers the movement and tension into the hands and club head.
    I think the hard part is keeping the tension/ pull into transition and it's easy to lose that tension at the moment the club reaches the top and the left side starts to pull.

      Really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts @thebukman and I hope my video offered up how you can keep the pull of the handle through strike. In my opinion, “nothing” comes along for the ride, we need to action everything. Thanks again ! 😊

    Wonderful insight about the role of the right shoulder and the necessary footwork needed. I have adopted your strong left, weaker right hand grip idea from another video but I probably have been holding on to the grip way too tightly (and no I don't hit everything right). Will try to ease the pressure on the grip. Fixing my posture and grip has already helped immensely. Cheers from Canada.

    do you conciously slow down the handle to allow clubhead to pass the hands, or is it more a product of left shoulder working backwards....what is the "feel"

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  22 дні тому

      Absolutely consciously slow the handle. Only thing at it can happen. Best wishes Stu

    Enjoyed the video but in talking about wrist angles you need to define what angles we are talking about. The wrist has 3 forms of movement: rotation, radial deviation or flexion/supination.
    All too often what YT teachers when talking about lag seem to refer to lag as hanging onto radial deviation. I believe this is a misconception and radial deviation has nothing to do with "lag". Instead IMO lag is the creation of flexion in the bottom hand which if I understand Stuart correctly (after many lessons with Stuart, I should do, but as he knows, I frequently get it wrong) is simply a function of correctly loading the club

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  Рік тому

      If you need to hold onto “lag” you are not loading the club. It is impossible to isolate one of the three planes the wrist moves in, nor should we need too, but simply refer to the grip position at address. The stronger the grip, the more chance you have creating load in the shaft with a light grip and hence creating lag.
      My video “you need this drill” is vital as a follow up to this one.
      Thanks for sharing your thoughts Justin and hope all is well! Best wishes Stu

    Can you do one about fanning the club away on takeaway. I hate how much inside I take it but perfect from top down. I just can't correct this. Great vids by the way.

    One thing is unclear in your video. What direction do you pull in transition? Do you pull it directly towards the ball in a straight line? Or pull it in the opposite direction of the target at the start? After you demonstrate pulling the club handle horizontally to make the clubhead go up, you do not explain how to use that idea in the actual swing.

    Which hand is pulling the grip down -left or right ?

  • @chuckross8839
    @chuckross8839 11 місяців тому +1

    Practice throwing a ball down in front , will activate the body . Actually the the second you start taking the right hand back in a throwing action , the body is already in play.
    Throwing you get the body for free. The thumbs from a great grip will drive the swing and power and accuracy . All you need is a target and intermediate target in mind to throw at .
    You don't throw the club head , your throwing the hands , you get the clubhead . Reckless abandon .

      In most cases aiming for speed gains is usually counter productive as the gains aren’t linear. Improving efficiency is far more important than speed driven insights. HTH
