All my good vintage saws aside, I have quite a collection of Poulan Plastic saws. Among them are some Grab your throat and choke things. Some stock and some are hot saws.
The Poulan saws are necessary for learning and experimentation and fun. Throw away saws are fun, I need to throw some away though. I have totes full of parts and several blown up engines.

You are absolutely right about the crappy Poulans and other low end throw away saws being a challenge to make them perform and have some reliability. One will be a whole lot better mechanic as a result.

I just revived a pair of mid 2000’s box store crapsman and “Homelite “ my brother said get them running and you can keep one. Got them both running with minimal issues. Happy to give them both back 😂 . They actually ran pretty decent, but I just can’t clutter my shelves with that junk. I like old homelites and poulans, even certain craftsman’s. Shame how they’re built now, but I guess that’s the world we live in

That is a fun story. The sad situation with homeowner saws these days are that they are just as crappy as the old small Poulans and low end Homelites were years ago. YUCK !!!!

I use my poo saws for around the property as I'd never take it to go cut firewood! See ya next week!

It is unreal that you can pick up a cylinder, piston, rings, etc. for $29.95. Hopefully it was made with the good Chinesium and it lasts for a while. The spark plug over the shoulder had me laughing. Mr. Poo will live to cut more wood!

I don't have very high expectations on the quality of these Chinese replicrap parts, but yes Mr. Poo will be a runner again !

I sold a couple more wild things and just have a couple left. I did however just get a couple 2050 Poulans and a craftsman for free. I am looking forward to the $29 rebuild video.

I have 2 Wild Things, which is probably 2 too many. Their best features are the decals, and they kind of go downhill after that. Good for entertainment and keeping our mechanical skill up though.

Why do they call them Poulan’s 🤔 maybe because you have to keep poulan poulan poulan to get them to start 😆

      There are 3 categories of Poulan's. 1. Old Poulan =pole-lan 2. Newer Poulan's=Poolan- made out of Poo ! 3. Poolan= Pullin-Pullin-Pullin, because they don't start worth a crap.

Primary compression is a necessity. Secondary compression is usually about 135 on a good saw. The bare minimum is 90 psi.

It will be interesting to see how the saw performs after repairs are finished with the Replicrap parts. Thanks for watching.

I ve never owned those particular ones. But l do own 3 yellow poulan. 1 thats burgandy an grey. A craftsman thats the same. An 1 Remington an l love that saw. See many people that hate em. Ive been blessed, most of them are 16/17 years old . They always run, most l see dont. But Husky, Dolmar, an the Remington all go to the woods with me. Ive cut a great deal of oak with the poulan , had to keep the wife an dogs warm. But by wallet not choice.

Some have had good luck with the small Poulans. Most don't though. I have had mostly McCullochs for my little saws, which have been on the job for many years. Just in the last 3 to 4 years did I end up with a small pile of mini saws, all donations. For the most part, they have been terrible, but I like a challenge, and have most of them are operational.

I am sure the heat gun is a better option than the torch. I simply repeated what I saw in a video about using a torch.
