Darth Tenebrous trained Venamis in violation of the Rule of Two, since he had another apprentice, Darth Plagueis.
Palpatine trained Dooku as an apprentice in violation of the Rule of 2 also. When Darth Maul returned Palpatine should have either taken him back or killed him or at least had Dooku face Maul to decide who would be the apprentice.

The only thing we know for sure about Tenabrous' master is that he was a Twi'lek and he and Tenabrous tore the rent in the force allowing the jedi to feel the darkside through out the galaxy again for the first time in centuries which laid the ground work for their becoming blinded and diminished ability to wield the force

As a dedicated Star War’s fan I will give the series a chance. I’m just not a fan of the timeline Disney chose. It would of been better if the story revolved around the beginning of The High Republic instead of last chapter.
I don't get why they continuously ignore what the fans (OVERWHELMINGLY) want to see. It's like they think they will be capable of winning over support for their preferred story and timeline. They WILL however, eventually give in and do an Old Republic movie when they have failed at all their created bs...THEN AND ONLY THEN will they concede as has been the case for nearly a decade now.

I follow Star Wars UA-camrs. I love looking at takes on the media out there these days.
The thing I love about you is your page is a platform for positivity when it comes to Star Wars.
Other UA-camrs (who will remain nameless) just seem to want to dump on everything Star Wars these days. Nothing lives up to their impossible expectations.
You have your likes and dislikes in Star Wars but I've never come across your page and felt you be negative. You give your opinions but overall you praise Star Wars and are a positive member in the community.

I really hope this is just the beginning of "pre episode 1" content. I've been wanting a pre episode 1 movie or show for years and I'm really glad we're finally getting one. I hope eventually they go even further back like during the old republic era or the full scale galactic war mentioned in episode 2 that occurred 1,000 years before the movies and resulted in the formation of the republic. Also, Darth Tenebrous is canon, but his species is unknown in the Disney canon. It's also possible they retcon him out and this girl is Darth Plagueis' master in the Disney timeline. I really hope we see Tenebrous as he was in legends though because it would be crazy to see red force lightning in live action.
I'd like to make the argument that the "force push" against the line of jedi masters and knights is not force related at all. There is a mist of red or red smoke that accompanies the Shockwave. I pose that this is a trailer edited misdirect and is actually an explosion of some sort and not a sith force push at all.
Knowing this is a trailer, what if the red Saber shot is the last scene in the last episode revealing to only one person the sith lord.

I think the one thing that everyone is forgetting is that just because you have a red saber doesn't mean you have to be a Sith. The Inquisitors were dark siders but not necessarily a Sith. Maul was a Sith Assassin but not necessarily a Sith so whoever is the Acolyte is likely a Dark Jedi or dark sider which wouldn't break the statement made in Episode 1.
The Sith are clever. Hidden in the shadows and only really won through cheating.

Yeah, I was thinking that, possibly have the main sith lord villain be revealed at the end of the show to be one of the Jedi masters and probably make him (a human) proclaim himself to be Darth Plagueis. I don't think he was ever said to be of the Muun species in the films (revenge of the sith)
It could be Venamis, another apprentice of Darth Tenebrous, self-proclaimed Darth since he was trained at the same time as Darth Plagueis in violation of the Rule of Two, and also Bith. In 67 BBY, after Tenebrous's death at his apprentice's hands, illigitimate Sith was bested in duel by his Muun peer, kept alive in stasis and used for experiments. In 42 BBY, Plagueis killed him and than resurrected only to repeat this process several times. As the Acolyte show takes place aproximately a century before the Phantom Menace, 32 BBY, he and his master are alive and well, and it would be fitting if he trained an apprentice while studying himself. Yes, he chose to train male Nautolan Naat Lare, but it was much later, after Tenebrous's death. So, if they are going to return Darth Plagueis book from Legends, Maie must die at the end of the show.

Palpatine isn't canonically confirmed to have been born later than 100 bby. he could actually be much older than legends, explaining the extent of withered degradation in rots. FR i think the figure in black is meant to be Tenebrous or Venamis

I don’t know if it’s just me, but the way how they look, move, “fighting” and speak, said it all.
I also get the feeling that the mystery assassin is killing Jedis because her friend or “friend”, were missed-treated or killed, or (my personal favorite) didn’t accept her for un-logical reasons. It’s one of those things or close to it.

In legends a few hundred years before the movies, a jedi encountered a sith and lived to tell the tale. Yoda didn't think much of it and never made a big deal about it. Very fitting for republic-era jedi.

Plagueis is Muun and states to Palpatine that their life expectancy is close to 3x that of a human. While that figure isn't him, he is absolutely alive and apprenticing to Tenebrous. This show is 100 years before PM. Though now Legends, the Plagueis novel establishes that Plagueis was alive during PM, served as Sidious' master for about 35 years and was apprenticed to Tenebrous for much longer than that. All of this is to say that, if they chose to, the Tenebrous/Plagueis chapter of the Rule of Two would absolutely fit this timeline.
The novel Darth Plagueis novel is the best piece of work in the EU. It is perfect for it's own, limited engagement, 8-10 episode series. I would use it as close to word for word as possible.

We have a Legends book that says that darth plagious the wise is Palpatines master.... but palpatine in the best scene of ROTS tells anakin about plagious, he cant say he was my master but there is nothing to actually say that he was palps master.. palp could just be retelling a story that will help get anakin to fall.

The frailer looks fine, I do agree with many saying the typical run down backgrounds and places are getting really old. It is amazing how in the “future” we have such messy places cluttered with junk.

There are accounts of Sith activity before TPM. So long as either no Jedi see the Sith, or don't live to report it, then there's no contraindication. I do want to point out that there is a contradiction with the line in the same movie. They say that the Sith have been extinct for a millennium, but later know about rule of two.
Only thing I am worried about is the assassin becoming a Jedi or hero. I don’t think Disney can pull the trigger so to speak on having a main character be a villain.

Honestly I’m not really hyped for this. I recently finished reading Shadow Hunter, Darth Plagueis, and Cloak of Deceptjon and to be honest these act as the perfect setup for the phantom menace and I’m not looking forward to Disney touching this era.

I think they may not make Tenebrous the Sith lord in this. I think he may never be canon. Plagueis on the other hand I dont think they can decanonize him. He's mentioned in one of the main movies by the main villain of the saga. I think he probably wont be in this or if he is it will be as a child. A 100 years before the Phantom Menace is probably 40-45 years before Palpatines birth so even Palpatines Master could also not even be born or a least very young. I dont know how long Muun's live though so who knows. It would be cool if maybe you see the Sith lord whoever they are at the end of this maybe find the young Plagueis and take him as an apprentice.

@@David-iq1kd - Sorry, I was unclear. I’m talking about using the force to levitate the lightsaber instead of holding it in their hands. The Sith I was remembering had a saber in each hand PLUS had a third one that just floated around like an invisible third arm. But she was noteworthy because she could do that, so I assume that she was kind of a one-trick pony. And she was noteworthy because it’s supposed to be nigh impossible to do that. Not sure if it caused weak hits, or had sloppy control, or other force wielders who were holding their weapons could disrupt your control. Or some other reason. And I’m not even sure if this is legends or canon, so… maybe the rules have changed.
Like, I was willing to allow Snoke’s death only because the saber was already in the right place and just had to be turned on. No moves, no tricky finesse stuff, just pressed the ON button. But in this trailer, the saber is accurately hitting multiple targets and returning to the hand.
There was a legends novel, prolly like 30 years ago, where the bad guys had special light sabers. The ON button was inside the thing, so only someone with the force could even use it. But even then, they held the things in their hands to fight.

The book Tarkin, also written by James Luceno, is cannon and references a bunch of stuff from Plagueis. That being said, the new era doesn't mind cannibalizing cannon books (Ahsoka) and now (Dark Disciple)

Screenwriters seem to always want to "take it in a new direction.
Im guessing its going to be something that they can dead end if the show doesnt fly, that wont damage the main storyline. Maybe another secret apprentice, or isolated sith sect.
The other complicating thing would be lifespans and activity.
Ive never heard anything about munn or bith lifespans, but it seems like on average its usually something like 20-30 yrs before the average sith is overtaken by his apprentice. So with a little wiggle room, that would put us comfortably in the range of tenebrous' masters time to make trouble. But that was supposed to be a twi lek according to the comments (i honestly dont recall reading about her but its been a minute. )

According to Ki-adi-mundi, the jedi hadn't seen a sith in over a thousand years at the time of the prequels. So it would break continuity with what the prequels already established given it takes place roughly 100 years before the prequels. If any jedi in this series encounters a Sith and lives, it simply won't make sense.@@darraasi2998

The thing i hate most about Disney is that when I see a female character I automatically think they are gunna make her overpowered & underwhelming. Disney has totally jaded my outlook on female SW characters with their terrible writing and woke BS..

If you're talking Disney Canon, who knows anymore as they keep making stuff up. Old canon, there was a lost sith tribe that was stranded on a planet and populated it. They didn't emerge until lukes son (ben) was a teen and had fallen in love with one of the sith

I think these are not real Sith yet. Well I do believe the Rule of Two still plays a part, these could be individuals who are candidates to become Sith Apprentices.
Whatever it is the Sith are planning, it could be an attempt to attack the Republic and the Jedi. There has to be an explanation what changed the Jedi into peacekeepers to the dogmatic Jedi we see in the prequels who only protect politicians over the common people.
These Sith candidates could be trying to prove their worth to the Sith Lord they're serving. And because of the Rule of Two, these Sith candidates or Acolytes may end up killing each other in the end.
Of course, I would not be surprised if Plagueis was among these Acolytes.
This was pre-Disney. So that's what happened in the Jedi Outcast series. DarkHorse took over from Marvel when they canceled Star Wars after 107 issues and 3 annuals.
@evildrporkchop4628 it depends... when they're building on a foundation that's been set for the last 30 years or so and already has a background and a huge fan base, and just add in a story that makes no sense it's a bit of a middle finger to the fans, e.g. the kenobi show now says that obi saved leia when she was a child, yet I episode 4 leias message to obi was " my father told me you were a great general in the war"
