Mark is right though. Saying Ben is really good at the game is not also saying that Des is not good at the game. Ben’s best skill here is he leads and communicates more than Des does. Des is more of a doer. He even said “you just gotta play and figure it out” to jay lol
Yea Bens comms are on another Tier, that really why they kept blowing them out in the later games. And tbh from what Ive seen from my ranked homies who play RL competitively be talking like how Ben does to his team, that really what makes or breaks 3v3s is the callouts and positioning of everyone

Ben was just the better teacher and that's ok to say. He would tell Lee and Mark to be exactly at the middle 2-3 steps before he got there to set it up. Des (even at the beginning) was just saying rely on your game sense, which is true, but they also needed direction. Honestly, if Des could get his teammates to rotate better, they wouldn't have so many holes on their fields.
I will say, I think having Mark/Leland on Des team early wasn't ideal either because Mark JUST started to learn how to play. Give him a couple games to learn the control, I don't doubt that Mark will be up there.

It's not just that. Ben has better positioning, uses front flips to increase speed and conserve boost, understands that you need to avoid double commits (what he calls "stacking"), etc. I've even heard him talk about "rotation" so he must have seen some UA-cam videos about Rocket League. Ben is just way better than Des and Dylan right now.

Ben is jokic about the same as embiid individually but the where the gap is he has a game plan and makes it as easy as possible for his teammates too succeed and always keeps a leveled head and even when his teammates mess up he reinsurers them and keeps going back to them
So it’s not that Ben is just a tier above des, Ben just utilizes his teammates better and cleans up their weaknesses in Oder to win

Des is not equal to Ben period end of story because he has a talent to lead, but des is a strong player and needs to be under leadership because he can't lead, and that is cool not everyone are leaders, but some are really solid executors of orders which is rare.
Ben the sargent, and Des is a right hand man, and both will drop you before you blink in this game. Together they would be unstoppable with Mark or Dyl. I feel Mark has Gohan or Goku levels potential, and Dyl i think will be one of the best set-up and defense players.
Cant wait for a streamer tournament.

I felt bad for Des but Mark was right, Ben knew how to put his plans into words to command them.
These past rocket league vids got me really invested.
Mark told des to play defense and said to trust him and Leland in attack and then about 30 minutes later said he shouldn't have trusted.
Ben was at the right place at the right time. Mark and Leland was already trying to do what they needed to. One team just had better defender on the day.
Mark Lee and Des on that team each had at least 2 one goals to their name.
Ben had 0 😂. He was going crazy on defense today, that's all it came down to imo

Ben just gave whatever the team needed to succeed, if the team needed a goal he scored it, if they needed a block he played defense, and he always has good set ups. Just scoring doesn't win games.
@antoneopitts2212 which is why I said on the day, the only thing that separated Ben and des was that each des mistake resulted in another team's goal and each ben mistake was like nothing happened.

I think Ben and Des are pretty equal. They just have different play styles, but I also would have to say that Ben is the better leader. When Lee and Dyl first switched teams(2v2), Ben coached him, and he got better(they were winning for a while until Dylan got better). Also, Dylan is still definitely better than Lee( I won't argue sbout this). Anyway, if RL becomes part of the main rotation, then I hope everyone gets better
Any team that Lee is in when it comes to 2v2s loses or any team that Dyl is in wins. That shows you the gap between them individually. Ben n Dyl > Des n Lee or Ben N Lee < Dyl n Des
Nah Ben is much better than Des. It's not even close honestly. Ben and Dyl was able to carry Ippi because Ben is good enough to offset it somewhat. Des is a good solo player. He can have zero weak links because he doesn't cover for his teammates.

I think this is a good lesson I teach kids . Attitude is everything you can be a good player but if your negative it rubs off on your teammates which causes mistakes or missteps .
Desmond cannot concede to the fact that Ben is just a good coach. It aint even about him being a good player. Like I dont know a thing about how to play Rocket League but the second Ben told Jay and Lee to stop stacking and spread out/set up in the middle and Jay got that shot off, I understood how his team was winning. I been watching the whole Rocket League Series since day one. Ben and Dez are the top two. But the difference is what Mark said. Ben is a better leader. Dez doesn’t know how to orchestrate. Mark came in pretty impressive even on Dez team. But with Ben, the instructions made him look even better. I feel bad for Dez cuz that game gives him nightmares lol. Dylan and Lee are just role players. They have the moments. But this was so entertaining, can’t wait for next time
Even though Leland scored a lot, he’s still sorry. He isn’t good at defense , he can’t set up plays. He’s what we call a tap in merchant. He’s good at uwufufu though
There is some truth to Des' complaints, cause Leland and Mark stacked or kept bumping into each other while on Des team. They played a bit passive too, but that's on Des for not giving direction. Ben told them when to either be on ball or on defense and they were always active cause of it.
