    Great stay you two. Made me reflect on things like culture, instead of feeling inundated by vendors, its a chance to see and feel the culture. You can always say no, but saying yes for goods might change their day for the better and yours.

    I stayed at that awesome park in Mulege about 5 years ago. Caught a nice flounder from my kayak on the river too. A large RV might have a hard time getting to that park due to a low-hanging tree. There's a couple of other good ones right off the highway on the other side of the river.

    If you make it to Los Barilles there is boondocking at Ricky/Barbie beach (see it on Google earth) beside Baja Sunrise RV Park. Also people boondocking in the arroyo beside Playa Norte RV Park. Sunrise at the south end of Los Barriles would be a good choice if you want services. Maranantha Rv Park in La Paz is probably the nicest RV Park in the Baja. Have fun!

      But what's really sad is we have to use manipulative "trigger" words, pictures, and dramatic headlines to get views. We tested that title against a more positive less dramatic one and this one wayyyy outperformed the other.

    • @royglassow402
      @royglassow402 Рік тому

      What a strange job, I imagine it allows a lot of freedom but as you said you have to have provocative titles. I also find it really weird with young women being scantily clad in the thumbnails. Apologies for being rude, I love Mulegé and I have friends who grew up there so I cannot speak for them but I find it depressing to see it blown up. It has been relatively quiet still for the last 30 years I think partially due to the ejido. It seems like a double edged sword, tourism dollars are needed but also people pulling in with very expensive vehicles and putting cameras in people's faces is a little off putting to some. Many folks there have grown up in that area without electricity or running water in the very recent past. I'm an American so I don't have any say it is just what I have told and my impression. (I'm aware you folks weren't rude or lavish) but there is a steady stream now it seems. Alas, take care

      We had odd run-ins with military checkpoints and man made tolls in Sonora but that's been it. We've felt safe throughout this country but everyone's feeling of safety is so different. We can only share our experience and that is, that Mexico is safer than movies and media makes it seem.
