The Sacrament of Holy Matrimony is only about CHRIST. His Will in the Father that you are doing in His Love. Happiness is alone in GOD, the others are only a responsibility for you to be Him on Earth. To love as He loves you.
Joy is the Pain to be Him. Or confused greatly by the demons and misleading others as you are the same.

Father I need the Holy Spirit to be with Me every second of my entire life, I am a single mother with three children, my youngest child is living with severe cerebral palsy and is medically fragile. I have been alone and single, celibate for 10 years. I devote my life to Christ & my special needs child. I need the lord with me always, not one second without him So I may continue to care and be strong for my children.

Fr. Mike, I am a living testimony of what you tell us on this video, after 17 years of married I got separated and took full charged in raising our children... I remember being distress for all the difficulties I have to face to be able to give to my family the essentials to survived and be able to get an education. I remember at first it was painful not being able to go to church because there was no money to get enough money to buy gasoline. The first Christmas there was no presents for my children... I cried many nights for not been able to provided things other children were having and I know my children would love to have. My older one have to face many struggles during her time in College and she doesn't was telling me about, she knew that I do not have money to help her. Now I can tell that God wants to keep my children on the right path... He wants them to rely always in Him.
Now I understand, as grown ups they are ready to face live, and the only think I ask God it's to keep giving them the wisdom and strength to continued on the path to His glory.

Thank you for explaining the call on a wife's and husband's spiritual lives For men to reject passivity and accept responsibility. For women to release control and embrace trust. I like how you provided examples of what that looks like in daily activities. It takes a lot of courage to shine a mirror on the long term and continuing effects of original sin; especially on women because we tend to be sensitive to criticism.

I could relate what you said to just about everyone in my family including absolutely, myself. Such good advice and showing us the utmost importance of looking to our unwavering, unconditionally loving God, who loves us as we are. Who we can always turn to in times of doubt, uncertainty and fear and receive God’s strength and love. I am going to share this video with my family who right now are in great need of this talk.

He's so apt, how people breakdown when life takes a u turn. He ate with sinners, he'd love the homeless more . The point of u turn in our lives is actually a test. He's always there. The story of Job inspires us to have faith in him. Thank you, we really ought to go through stuff to strengthen our faith. I couldn't go beyond day 6 either sir. It breaks my heart.

This conversation of 'worth' reminds me of advice that was given to me many years ago. Tell your children that you love them you would be surprised at how many children never heard that) and praise them. Tell them they are handsome and pretty (but not to make them obnoxious) and praise their successes and comfort them in their losses. ABOVE all this read to them - READ READ READ... Let them love it and recall wonderful moments with you when they are at work or play because of reading. Reading will give them the skill to go as far as they want with ease. AND read to them the stories of Jesus and His love and that they should love Him back by trying to please Him.

Mother Church is so wise. The church brought Mary forward not like the Protestants and said this is the Modern Woman. Forget Eve. Mary is perfect in everyway. She is strong, loving, faithful and obedient to the Lord, and lives in purity. Eve is not the last word to say about women. God called a woman 'worthy'. And the Church brought us the Holy Family. The importance of family.

This conversation of 'worth' reminds me of advice that was given to me many years ago. This sounds corny but its harder than you think for many couples. Ask the person you are to marry to tell you ten things they love about you. Not looks because that is not forever but about the character, strength and kindness of the person. If you can't do that you need to examine if you are ready to marry that person. And tell them you love them EVERY DAY no matter what. also look for someone gainfully employed and with an appropriate amount of education in their field to make a living. A clean record Financially and no criminal record. No annoying habits because if they bother you now they will make you nuts ten years from now. Sobriety and no record of addictions (unless you are older and everyone has gone thru the ringer but came back). Clean and looks the part of someone you want to be seen with. An even temper, no rages. Likes kids if you want them and is willing to help around the house of in the yard. Thrifty (not cheap)_, wise and healthy. Someone who can tell you how they see the future for him her self and with you. And physically attractive to each other.

That makes two of us, smh. The helmet, knee pads, padded socks...those poor babies would look like they just stepped out of a special needs unit instead of their bedrooms, smh. I figure this must be why God protected any children from ever being born from me, lol.
On the topic of manhood, I'll tell you, I think it all the time and I think I've even said it in comments before, but I'll say it again, you are a good man, Michael Schmitz. And, you probably hear this all the time, but I'll also say, I respect you. I don't think anyone couldn't.
As a priest and as a man, you're beautiful. And, by beautiful, I mean, you walk with integrity, honor, care, compassion, and empathy. With a desire to be gentle and kind. As an example and model. And, when you stumble over those attributes you try with all your heart soul to make amends. And, well, that's incredibly beautiful.
You're smart, you're funny, you're incredibly intelligent and deep, you're sensitive and focused, strong and good-willed, led by God and not duped by man, willing to listen and open to expanding your knowledge to know and discuss...all these things also equals beautiful.
A broad lip and square jaw aren't beautiful without all the attributes I've forementioned. At least that's the way I see it, anyways.
Had I been born wife material, you would have been the husband material I would have wanted to love me, for sure.
So, why do I say all this? Well, cause this friggin talk has me thinking about attributes, character, and friggin' marriage, smh.
You're doing a great job, this was a really good talk you gave. It brings marriage into the divine rhelm using practical terminology that encourages ppl to think about the attributes they should hold as a mate and also the ones they should look for within a mate.
Too, as a side note, I had no idea that respect is more important than love in the minds of men. I just knew that I could never marry a man I didn't fully respect, so figured all ppl only marry ppl they respect which, I suppose, is/was a gross over-generalization, smh.
Thank you for shedding light on that one. It explains a great number of latent problems I didn't understand previously (when I was working with family systems), darn it. Talk about a day late and dollar short (**fore-head slap**), smh.

@@meihui7767 It's an initialism that means, "shaking my head"; it means I am disappointed, in disbelief, or mentally saying "no" in some sort of dissatisfied sense or judgement.
The last "smh" , for example, meant I am disappointed in myself for not knowing this information sooner, while I was working with families because it explains why some of the males in the family system would say certain things related to not having and/or receiving respect and I could have written some of the case objectives differently.

Why men BECOME passive in marriage, and this just now happened for real, True or False?
Wife: did you call the plumber for the sink again?
Me: No, he’s supposed to call me later this afternoon.
Wife: do you have a Plan B?
    Me: for what?
Wife: He hasn’t called yet (12:50pm) in case he doesn’t come. You gonna call another plumber?
Me: (I immediately think about THIS video and why men become passive!) It’s not the afternoon yet. If he doesn’t call by 3:00 or 4:00 I’m gonna give him a call.
Wife: it’s after 12 so it’s the afternoon now. What if he calls and says he can’t come till next week?
Me: Then I’ll deal with it then. I don’t know why you stress yourself out about this. Can you just let me handle it and not worry about it?
Wife: this is how my brain works. I’m not crazy. So this is what’s going to happen - He’s not going to call and then you’re going to call another plumber and they’re not gonna be able to come for another week or two.
Me: really? You know that for a fact? How do you know if I call another that they won’t schedule to be able to come for another week or two. Can you just let me handle this. It’s starting to drive me a little nuts.
Wife: Well what are you going to do if he doesn’t call?
Me: just let me handle this please. (silently, praying, “Heavenly Father, please grant me patience. Please grant me patience. Please grant me patience.)
Wife: You need to have someone else lined up. Do you need a Plan B?
Me: (starting to get annoyed) I don’t need a Plan B. Getting another plumber is a five minute process.
    Her: no it’s not.
Me: (Starting to yell) Then you handle it. Why don’t you handle the entire process? My plan B is to call him at about 3 o’clock or 4 o’clock if I haven’t heard from him. That’s my Plan B.
Wife: so why didn’t you just say that when I asked you if you had a Plan B?
Me: I didn’t think of it. I just thought I called the plumber, he said he called me this afternoon, and if I don’t hear from our return his call and then schedule him. Easy Peezy.
Wife: This is the way I work. I’m not crazy.
Me: (trying NOT to slam my forehead on the table over and over again) I never said you were crazy. Please. Let me just handle this. You always talk about how your brain is full. Let this one thing just leave your brain and let me handle it.
… and it went on for another five minutes.

If all the beasts of the land were made good so was the serpent. The cunning of the serpent reflects Adam's wisdom in his ability to speak and role as a wise counselor. But the devil possessed him as temptor and accuser. Church Father, Saint John Crystotom surmised that the serpent crawled upright before the curse like a coiled cobra positioned to strike. After the curse he can only nip at the heel weakened.

It’s a cruise, not a trip to the Vatican. So maybe one morning he got up and just decided to talk to you without his collar on. Did his message change? What is your ability to except the teaching of his talk changed by the fact that he wasn’t wearing his collar. And all the years I have watched and all of the things I have seen is the very first time I’ve ever seen him without his collar . It’s a cruise There are so many more important things that require our time and attention. Then the way the father was dressed when he spoke to us.

Your words show your lack of knowledge about the Holy Priesthood of Jesus Christ. His Priests United with Jesus through the Sacrament of Holy Orders, do not wax and wane in their
Priesthood according to the time of day, the day of the week, or where they are - cruise ship or Vatican. The Roman Collar is a Sacred Sign of the Priest's Union with Jesus, and is to be worn with dignity and respect, along with the rest of his Priestly clothes - not like this, hung open exposing his undershirt.... and not saying vulgar words. There is a slippery slope when one begins to disrespect proper behavior, and for Priests, Satan has them as his Number One target.
You may not have been offended, but i guarantee You, there were many who were. May Our Lord, Blessed Mother,, St. Joseph and the Holy Angels Help and Protect the Holy Priesthood, and help the National Eucharistic Revival in the US. 🙏

I’ve never seen him without his collar. Is this a ‘cruise’ thing? Father has always been too sensitive to feminists, I suppose because Newman Centers are often as much as 75-90% women. I find his exegesis of Eve and the serpent completely fanciful. Finally, has Father not noticed that Francis has destroyed JP II’s Theology of the Body?
