My son had early intervention in the home. I'm in Philadelphia, in 2007 my son has 40 hours a week for 21 months. Now he's high-functioning.

Does it really take years to get a proper diagnoses for this and to get it treated?! It really takes 2 or 4 years!?

I have been wanting to do Methyl B12 shots, I don't know where to find a doctor who would do it. Now that I see on Shannon, I am more motivated for my 7 y/o autistic daughter to get those shots. Please help me locate a place for this shots.

Define okay maybe I have a delay of processing information but let's stop celebrating her success and let's have her to share what she did. What did she do? What was done for this? I don't want to hear about her celebration story I want to hear about the steps you took to get her son on board

What exactly did mom do that helped Justin recover from autism? She barely mentioned eliminating wheat, dairy products and soy and then something called ADA Therapy, but she didn't explain what that is.

What are we talking about when we say recovery? Recovering from Autism? How would one recover from something that's an integral part of their life? I was diagnosed at 2 and I still show signs of Autism. Autism is not something easily wiped or cured with simple dieting. If you could do that then EVERYONE would. Which leads me to two points 1. These children who recovered never had it in the first place and were misdiagnosed, 2. They'll eventually relapse.

You don't recover from autism you learn to live and manage it like other health or mental health conditions. Though you still have it and yes can relapse or still have meltdowns and so forth when your older they can look different like someone kicking a door going outside and hitting something hair gestures. The word recovery doesn't happen your child copping with it better can happen in some cases.
