All of your descriptions vividly brought back those cringy scenes lol 🙈 I also unfortunatly (unwittingly) watched the live-action movie years later, forgetting how much I had despised the manga (don't worry, it keeps the same tone as the manga 🙃) That synopsis just makes it sound like it should be so good! No unfortunately she didn't, I really hope she would put an effort into her pronunciation ! It really bothers me so freakin MUCH !! because all of us have the ability to learn and improve !! Like I know how hard it's to speak a foreign language ! it's hard but not impossible so I really hope that she improves !!
Hey Julie, so I'm not going to lie, but your comment kind of got to me because I do put a lot of effort into pronouncing names/words properly when it comes to my videos. If I'm not confident in my pronunciation, I research how to properly say it and then put the phonetic spelling in my script. Like you said in your comment, it can still be hard to say the words properly; for example, Ishikunagajima is really hard for me to say because it's a longer name, but I do my best. I double checked my video to my notes and it looks like I mispronounced Ayu's name as [a-yu] instead of [i-yu]. I couldn't find any other mispronunciations (I did stumble saying some names because it's a foreign language, but I don't think they were mispronounced), but I wanted to reach out and ask what else I might have mispronounced so that I can correct it in the future. I understand that it can be frustrating to hear names mispronounced and I am trying to improve. Thank you for the constructive criticism. (:

I understand that you work so hard to improve!! and I believe you !! and that's amazing !! but sorry to say that but you still butchering the language why ? Although you practice basically because when you prounce Japanese name you make it sound like an English name I think you just need to study the hiragana study how to pronounce the Letters if you're not planning on learning the language you don't have to learn katakana and kanji just learn hiragana and trust me learning hiragana is sooo easy !! it took me only 2 or 3 weeks !! So anyway I really hope that you understand that I'm trying to help you ! And like I said we all have the ability to learn !!

I admit that I get distracted by Itsuomi and their relationship 🙈 but more about Yuki’s interests and family (and upbringing) would definitely give the series more depth! You probably saw already, but vol 6 has a release date now but not until May 2023 🥲 Also, wow.. it’s been a while since I read LDK, and I remember thinking it was ok, but I think that was before I was more sensitive to annoying things 😂 I think toward the end of the series, it gets a bit better, but it’s a lot to ask of readers to put up with so much nonsense 😑 Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
