Hi, I'm the author of Tetris Max. Thanks for posting this! The 1.0 version of Tetris Max used the instrumental last half of the Jesus Jones' track "Blissed". Not long after, I got a letter from Peter Wagner, who'd been inspired to write a soundtrack for Tetris Max. He sent me it on a cassette tape, which I digitized using SoundEdit and a Farralon MacRecorder. Those were the days.
Hey, I have Bricklayer 1.7, an unregistered version for Windows. Do you still hand out registered versions? Bricklayer was literally the first game I ever played. It came on a CD with children's games full of shareware in 1995, when I was about 3 years old.
Probably not since June 2012 when The Tetris Company (aka Blue Planet Software) won that big court case against a different clone developer. So if you want Bricklayer, fire up this (or "Paradise" by Coldplay) in one tab and Tetris.com in another.
@aahpandasrun I have a disk that contains all the "bonus music" you get for registering the game. I need to find that because it has music in it that is found nowhere else on the Internet.
I have very distinct memories of my brother staying playing this. I would watch entranced from the floor, just listening to the music, waiting for that loud and abrupt cow moo. Good fuckin times. 😊
Howdy. I composed the song that's playing in the background. If anyone happened to be looking for a full version of the song it can be heard here: soundcloud.com/prwmusic/t-maxx

Glad I can finally connect the artist to the tune. THANK YOU Peter Wagner, your music was the stuff of my childhood.

The weird thing is sometimes you be put on wait when phoning government offices and they'd play this!! T-Maxx what a brilliant track!
I just heard it again on internet company Dodo. They can put me on hold all day if they want! Wonder where they are getting it from? I would love to buy it online from iTunes?
Peter Wagner It was Canberra Australia the ACT Government Shopfront help line. Just this week it happened again! Dodo internet company. I’m still having problems trying to download or find an MP3 I can play on repeat. Only have my iPad now. Thanks!

@Luxcrete Yes, definitely sure. At least for the version I had. The "Minds Eye" track in this game basically was a short loop of one part of the song.
i feel like a 5 year old again!
@Luxcrete The track's called "Q Factor" and it was done by Quintana & Speer. I'll send a copy if you need to find it.

Plenty, each as pathetic as the last. 😕
@RoyStorey thanks! I searched for it on UA-cam -- sounds the right kind of style, but I don't recognize the melody. Are you sure that's the one?
Very proto-synthwave.
You should check out the re-recorded version that came out last year: ua-cam.com/video/sfx2kr566gY/v-deo.html
